Cap is definitely a lot stronger in the comics but the thing with the MCU is that it suffers from rather inconsistent writing in terms of physical feats of the heroes with Cap being no exception. I think his lifting weight is around 1 ton or so, but who really knows. He certainly has had some impressive moments such as keeping the helicopter from going anywhere in Civil War and catching the car from falling off the bridge in Age of Ultron. As for him being the leader, he is perfect for the role because of experience and his character (unselfishness etc), the leader does not always have to be the strongest

Now, for a bit of canon, Mjolnir actual contains an imprisoned sentient galaxy sized electrical storm. The Storm had destroyed many solar systems and galaxies before it threatened Asgard. Odin fought it for a lengthy period of time using Mjolnir, and eventually conquered it and entrapped it in the magical Uru metal that makes up Mjolnir. Te enchantment Odin placed upon the hammer, "Whoever wields this hammer, be they worthy, shall have the Power of the God of Thunder" Is basically giving the wielder the power over the sentient storm trapped within the hammer. Also, Asgardians are made of different matter than humans, therefore are much denser and durable than we are. They can be killed, but it takes another extremely tough and durable person to do it.

Another reason to assume Thor is bullet proof in the MCU (he certainly is in the comics) is that his Asgardian brother Loki was completely bullet proof at the beginning of The Avengers.

Well he didn’t come out of it like nothing happened, Rocket even said he thinks Thor was dying after he got out of it there but Stormbreaker healed him up so I guess your point still stands

For those of you wondering why Thor hid from the Gatling gun in the first Avengers movie if he's bulletproof here's my explanation: while the bullets aren't much of a threat to Thor they still hurt, they likely felt like wasp stings and we all know how painful those are

Thor MCU has been buffed a lot lately in Ragnarok and Infinity War

Strong enough to overpower a beam from the *full* Infinity Gauntlet.

Well in the infinity War, he withstood the pull force and temperature of a neutron star, that's 1 quadrillion times the magnetic force of earth and 200 billion times the gravitational force of earth, and well 600000K degree Celsius too.

If you follow the Thor comics from the beginning, he is the most physically powerful of ALL superheroes in ALL comics. His true power isn't really known, except to the Frost Giants, because he would never consciously use his full strength against foes he didn't intend to kill. If he were to fight Superman, the best the Kryptonian could get is a draw, because Thor would use just enough strength to defeat him, not kill him. If he is enraged, or desperate to save others, his power is practically limitless.

Blake Wittenberg you say that as if Thor isn't insanely durable and can heal from injuries extremely fast either... Thor is the most powerful Avenger and the best suited to take down The Hulk if need be (although that was already done by Hulk-buster Iron Man)

Good stuff man. Something else to add to MCU Thor durability feats is when Kursed was pounding the living shit out of him. Thor was still alive and didn't have any broken bones or any major internal damage. Not to mention that the Kursed was strong enough to destroy the force fields in the Asgardian prison, destroy the Asgardian Shield Generator and FREAKING SWATTED THOR'S HAMMER AWAY LIKE A FLY! Not even the Hulk could do that. And Mjolnir has been shown to fly though multiple Frost Giants, pound the Hulk, repel blasts from The Destroyer Armor, smash an Aether powerd Malekith and Destroy the Bifrost.

VunderGuy Shortly before Wally (or whatever the amputee's name is) vandalises the Superman statue, in the short scene where he's making the fake bombs in front of a wall of Superman headlines, one of them mentions that he shifted a tectonic plate. Even though it's supposed to be a tongue in cheek reference to the Donner films, it's presence still makes it a canon feat.

As far as him being bullet proof, he certainly is. I can assume he's at least as durable as Loki, and when Loki appeared on earth in the first Avengers, the shield agents were unloading rounds on him and they bounced right off of him.

The VinnyVerse You made it seem like it's clearly obvious that Loki is wearing bullet proof armor, it's not. As far as Nick Fury, he is never portrayed to be a feeble old man. He's show blowing down a fighter jet, surviving a helicopter crash and surviving an onslaught (in winter soldier).

Oh Wow I- i think magic in the mcu is just energy manipulation, you use concentration to draw energy from other realties. What Loki does is he manipulates light around him like Mysterio but insted of drones he has some tricks that let him do it

Well to be fair Kurse beat Thor pretty good in the comics too, but that was because he was like twice Hulk's strength(which he still couldn't beat Thor with at first) and then four times Hulk's strength later on.

He also seems to have a Super Saiyan 2 form, with lightning all around him. I'm pretty sure they're going to do the Maui thing where his power was inside him all along and he is not defined by his weapon yatta yatta Thor's biggest feat so far was surviving a city exploding in his face with no damage, but strenght-wise I'm not really sure.

Great vid. Question in Thor the Dark World how was Algrim (during his fight with Thor) able to hit(slap) away Thor's hammer mjolnir whilst flying towards him? (who and when can Thor's hammer be moved)

When Thor throws the hammer, it's essentially a projectile... how fast it goes depends on how fast Thor threw it... so it makes sense that a sufficiently strong opponent could block it or swat it away. However, once the force of the throw is expended (or Thor summons the hammer back to him), it's 'pulled' towards Thor and is under the influence of that spell/incantation that says that only Thor (or a 'worthy', not just 'physically strong, person) can wield the hammer. In the comics, Zeus could block/grab the hammer for a split second, but was utterly unable to keep it from flying back to Thor, although Zeus was pretty much overpowering Thor when using just physical strength. Theoretically, it would have been smarter for Thor to throw Mjolnir past Algrim, then summon it back at the same gazillion mph that it can apparently reach... and maneuver Algrim in a direct line between the retuning Mjolnir and Thor: being hit in the back of the head by Mjolnir at that speed, I think Algrim would have been impacted way more than the frontal hits that he indeed was able to bitch-slap away ;)

This channel is on the rise to be a massively popular one. Keep up the hard work, if you pumped out like three videos a week your channel may grow faster but I myself being a filmmaker know how long editing a video takes so no criticism just saying keep working hard it is appreciated!!

Black Paradox Entertainment, Yes. In the comics he is definitly stronger. But Marvel did it right to nerf him in the MCU because so the fights make more sense than in the DCU (Superman, Flash etc.). The fights in the DCU do not make any sense because Zack Snyder didn't nerf them with their powers but they can defeated anyway. And that makes no sense. The Flash is faster than light and he could defeat ANY character. ANY. And it doesnt make sense that he have to fight or to talk with his enemies. In the CW TV Show he just could run through the city and catch all the criminals and put them into the prison. But no he have to talk and can't evade punches when more than one comes. So its smart from Marvel to nerf Thor. DC let their superhereos but they can hurt anyway? That makes no sense

TheCaveCrasher Zach Snyder HAS nerfed his superhero, besides maybe batman. We haven't seen anything of the flash in the dceu, if Snyder hadn't nerfed superman, you'd see superman flying millions of times faster than light and punching his villains halfway across the world, we would see Wonder Woman flying through the air punching people into orbit. The flash could not beat any villain as most of his villains have abilities that equal or counter his own powers. The same goes for most of their characters. And speaking of flash talking with his villains, that's pretty similar to what many of the mcu characters do. The only reason dceu characters don't easily beat their villains is because the villains are usually have similar abilities and powers.

Why do people always use "strong/stronger" to describe characters whose powers AREN'T strength based? It's getting really annoying. Scarlet Witch ISN'T STRONG, she's POWERFUL.
