Its actually sad how much people underestimate and dismiss traveler as a typical overpowered self insert when 1. They're obviously not 2. There's a reason they're so powerful, not to mention they usually don't win on the first try. Just because they don't talk that much (though they've beem talking alot more lately) doesn't mean they don't have personality either, or that they're genderbent. Honestly traveler and abyss sibling lore is my absolute favorite

i mean they are talking in game all the time, only we players dont hear them that often, but when they are talking its pretty cool. I think Hoyo should let them voice their thoughts + add the lines more often :) i love the travelers :)

It’s especially sad cuz they do talk, it’s just usually not audible. It sucks that people dismiss their dialogue cuz the traveller’s dialogue is so funny imo 💀

And this is why the Sumeru Archon Quest is my favorite Archon Quest because it actually felt like the writers were treating the Traveler as an actual character rather than a puppet for the player and I wish they would just let the Traveler talk more often. (As in actual voice acting).

The abyss sibling and the traveler aren’t on the same level from my head canon. The traveler is getting stronger but the traveler is not that strong yet. from what we’ve seen so far even shenhe is stronger than the traveler.

@@jamarcusdavis4023 I am glad you enjoyed it more, but personally i never felt that puppet thing, i always found the travelers line very interesting, from the banter with Paimon to more heavy stuff like in the Chasm quests etc

If u guys think that traveler is weak, just remember that when Scaramouche with his gnosis tried to push us down to another platform, the traveler managed to hold that before the ground broke.

Traveler's fast recovery and regeneration speed is also worth mentioning... He fought childe and it was actually a pretty tiring fight at that point but moments later he's been duking out again against the fatui and osial. He also recovered immediately after taking a direct hit from osial's wife. Also when the Raiden Shogun bitchslap Aether he also managed to recover just a few moments. Most people even with visions would take a few days to weeks to recover from those attacks that the Traveler eats

Also the fact that when scaramouche tried to crush them with the robo hand, the floor broke underneath the traveler who was managing to keep the hand, coming down with that much force, from crushing them. Then they fell quite a way down and hit stone floor and had debris fall directly on top of them. Even with all this, they just went on to push the chunk of debris of them and went back to throwing hands.

The Traveler was very weakened when they fell from the sky. When we first meet them, two months after Paimon met them, they got winded fighting a hydro slime, ha. They clearly knew how to use a sword well though, and were able to learn a new language in two months. The language is most likely experience from traveling between so many worlds. In a short time though, they have gained many elemental powers, their stamina and resilient has increased drastically, their speed has gone to nearly faster than can be seen, and they can punch hard enough to blow though brick walls. I say their power is coming back fast, ha.

It just occurred to me, the Abbys sibling must have 100% their ENTIRE Map of Teyvat by now and probably have access to ALL waypoints including the ones not out yet and probably already HAVE waypoints all over the Abyss by now. Who knows maybe within the Abyss they also gained the power to skip all the loading screens and bypass all of Paimon's invisible walls.

I just want to add this. There's actually a difference between the twins' fighting styles and specialties. Aether has more defense while Lumine has more attack at level 1 suggesting the role they took and preferred style when fighting. Their basic attacks also seems to cover for each other if you play it side by side. It is also seen in their animations that Aether seems to have a harder time controlling and using the elements than Lumine. When Anemo, Aether needs to use both hand when holding his E while Lumine one hands it easily. There's also the ease of Geo Lumine just stomping with her feet in her Ult while Aether needs to punch down. Edit: You can also see in their animations that Lumine is ambidextrous while Aether is right handed. As seen when both of them uses their ults in Dendro, Lumine passes her sword from her right hand to left and then gathers dendro to it before stabbing it down. Aether on the other hand gathers dendro on his right hand and then stabs down. In fact throughout her animations, Lumine seems to prefer using her left hand when she uses the elements while using the sword with her right. We can see it in her Dendro ult but also Electro ult where she lifts her left hand up and then brings it down while Aether lifts his right hand instead.

I recently read somewhere that I'm gonna paraphrase here which makes sense; Femininity is more in tune with the elements whereas Masculinity is more in tune with brute force and strength. What I find interesting is how the Iron Sting (EM substat) matches Lumine's attire and the Prototype Rancour (Phys DMG Bonus) matches with Aether's. Edit: Archaic -> Rancour

I wouldn't say it's about elemental control, since both conjure the same electro sword on Ei, as an example. I'd say it's about personalities, Aether is defensive but also more explosive/brutal, Lumine is offensive and in control - that's how I see it.

The siblings are designed to contrast each other based on Yin and Yang. Yin and Yang has been a main theme in Genshin e.g Ei and Makoto, Azhdaha's 2 halves, Lumine is Yin and Aether is Yang, Yin is feminine/dark energy and Yang is musculine/light energy, which is why the "canon/PV" Traveler is Aether and the Abyss sibling is Lumine. Yin and Yang are equal and opposites of each other, neither are stronger or "better", the darker it is, the brighter a source of light looks, the brighter a light is, the darker the shadow it casts. They cannot exist without each other and continuously influences each other. A further break down of Yin and Yang: Yin: Dark, shadow, cold, feminine, moon, under/behind/below, death, negative Yang: Bright, light, warm, masculine, sun, surface/infront/above, life, positive

MC in the lore: powerful enough to pose a threat to the devine. MC in game: barely able to do anything. 😂

I know it was done in the samsara, but the fact the traveler catches the hand of Shouki no Kami and holds it for a few moments is a testament to the traveler's real strength.

I think the Travelers are related to the Primodial one somehow. In the ruins of Dragonspine and Ruu’s island we see two crowned figures below the Primodial one. I think those two people are Lumine and Aether.

Given the subtext during Albedo’s event, and that the Travelers symbol/Khanrieah’s symbol is what Albedo describes as “the mark of a homunculus” AND the fact they as a pair seem to function as something like the Voyager Satellite, they’re artificially made bio weapons from another world.

Given it’s been stated neither Traveler is strictly “canon”, it’s easier to just consider “Traveler” as a role, as opposed either Lumine or Aether specifically. Additionally, I would say “not subject to its laws as of yet”. It stands to reason if their Twin can be woven into Teyvat and made subject to it, the same thing could be done to remaining sibling. Whatever was done to Abyss Twin could likely also be done to the Traveler.

I like to imagine it as worlds upon a world concept. There is a core timeline/world that the traveler is from. All other worlds are other possibilities. With each possibility experienced, the Traveler gains in possibility. But maybe I've just read too much Heinlein or "The Number of the Beast" too many times.

The traveler is so strong they stopped the scarabot hand. It's the ground that collapsed. The Traveler was strong enough to survive a huge pressure while the floor under them couldn't

This is a great overview of a character's strength. Although, it would be awesome if somehow this would be revisited maybe a few years down the line, when we have seen the Traveler got a bunch more upgrades. Clearly, this isn't their peak yet so it would be nice to have another overview of the Traveler down the line.

I just realized it now. We haven't seen the traveler use Dendro in any animation cutscene.

About Orobashi and the Traveler falling victim to the effect of Divine Miasma: I always considered that in that cutscene the issue was not the source of energy itself, rather the mental disposition of the Traveler in that SPECIFIC moment. Scaramouche was taunting the Traveler saying that the death of Teppei and the other members of the Resistance was basically futile and self-inflicted and that made the Traveler very, VERY angry. Now, being angry (AKA in a bad state of mind) inside a pool of Negative Miasma is - in every media - usually a very bad thing. And in fact, the Traveler started to feel dizzy and fainted. Please note that until that very moment the Traveler didn't feel any side effect, despite being inside the Fatui Factory for a very long time (and in that specific room filled with Miasma for several minutes, since there was a massive fight against Fatui agents there). So I think that it was that catalyst - the rage - which amplified the Miasma and made the Traveler succumb to its power. ...and yet, despite all that, it merely made him faint for a while. We know that powerful beings like the Yaksha, once they fell to a similar source, became irreversibly mad or even worse (it is implied that Xiao, that one time when he fell to his Karmic Debt, would've died if not for the intervention of Venti who soothed his mind - again, lessening the effects of the 'Yin' energy through positive feelings). The Traveler is simply 'built'* differently. * I use 'built' in a figurative way but ALSO in a literal way - we can theorize that the Twins were basically 'Ubermensch' created in their own original world to withstand the destruction of their civilization, the Interstellar+Extraplanar travel AND being able to survive in hostile worlds until they could find a new home. They could easily come from the world of Honkai Impact, for what we know.

@@jshort1691 Yet he also doesn’t know the difference between a vision and a delusion because he’s never had or seen a vision. Also his original intention was to help the resistance in anyway he can, not die for it via the delusion. Plus the fatui knew the delusions would kill them but never told them anything about it and they gave it to some resistance members on the ploy that it was a vision.

@@deathwingthedestroyer3632 Teppei used the Delusion, he noticed the effects, and he continued to use it. That is 100% his choice, no one put a knife to his throat and said "use the delusion". He CHOSE to use it, and when it started killing him, he ignored that. As for the Fatui, why the hell should they tell the Resistance of the risks? Its to their benefit that they remain ignorant. Teppei, however, is the one that chose to ignore his health and continue using something that was killing him. His death is on his own head. If you're going to blame the Fatui for giving the Delusions out, then you need to also condemn anyone thats selling swords. They're weapons, plain and simple, and using one recklessly gets you killed. All that aside, in the grand scheme of things Teppei was insignificant. He wasn't even remotely important to the story arc of inazuma, and he's only really there as a random idiot we save that then introduces us to someone much more important, which is all indirect. Could have been any old faceless soldier and the effect would have been the same. I really don't get why the fandom is so attached to this idiot, but then again I tend not to get attached that easily.

@@jshort1691 first of all like I said he doesn’t know what a vision is, second of all he may have been reckless but the delusion was sapping his life force regardless which in turn had nothing to do with being reckless and due to the fact that he’s never had a vision he doesn’t know what it’s like, third of all using a sword as comparison to an object that literally drains your life force is worst comparison you could ever make and can’t put recklessness into the equation. In the end it was sheer ignorance that killed him and many others and because of this the fatui killed many without spilling a drop of blood. On a side note: They were given to the them on the pretext of their sponsors.

The talk about light as an element has me thinking that the fatui are collecting the gnosis to merge and create a light gnosis. By giving it to the traveler they will create a light god to defeat celestia. The reason why I thought this is because the fatui started collecting the gnosis after the traveler came to teyvat which is weird because they have been around for almost 500 years. This makes me think that they observed the traveler and their powers before taking action.

@@jshort1691 Yes but Tsaritsa don't want Traveler death. Two previous gnosis were collected regardless of Traveler action. Dottore could kill Traveler as well, but his agreement with Nahida would be ruined Scara is curious because I think he really hates Traveler and want poison and destroy him. He would never give back gnosis even to Tsaritsa herself.

@@Alex-vv2ud Scaramouche also tried to hunt down the Traveler in the 1.1 Unreconciled Stars event. In Liyue he couldn't attack him because of the Millelith und in Mondstadt Mona saved the group from him. So I doubt that the Fatui want to help the Traveler, especially since they are constantly getting in his way.

i saw a reddit post few days ago calculating if (in nahida's simulated dream), traveller taking a hit from scara gundam could weight several million newton force, and after receiving the knowledge from the capsule, traveller could dodge lightning beam with slight movement, which means almost light speed reaction

*Spoiler warning for manga and kokomi story quest: I just wanna speculate that the traveler will have their biggest power growth so far in the next region after unlocking hydro. This is due to one often forgotten factor, elemental reactions. Okay here me out, before you say elemental reactions are just a game mechanic, I would have to disagree and I would even claim that elemental reactions are canonically OP. Just go and read chapter 6 of the manga where jean, who is canonically very strong, was unable to defeat dottore's cyborg as none of her attacks were strong enough to destroy it. However when amber and jean channeled pyro and anemo in a single point, it resulted in a swirl explosion that one shotted the cyborg. This shows that elemental reactions are not only canon but OP. Another example would be how in kokomi's story quest, one of her strategies to defeat the fatui was to release hydro into the air then letting the traveler use electro to destroy the entire camp in one go with electro-charge. Now we got that out of the way, we can assess the power gained by the traveler in each region by looking at the elemental reactions in the game: Mondstadt-Liyue: +1 element, + 0 reactions Liyue-Inazuma: +1 element, + 2 reactions Inazuma-Sumeru: +1 element, + 1 reactions Sumeru-Fontain: +1 element, +3 reactions As you can see, in the next region our traveler will not only gain yet another element but a whopping 3 new reactions.

Yeah, when they gained anemo, they got access to swirl, assuming that external elements are involved (when it's raining,when near water,ext). When they got geo, they got crystallize again when outside elements are involved. When they got electro, they then were able to produce both swirl and crystallize all on their own. When they got dendro, they got aggravate and the reverse that I don't remember the name of 😅 .and when they got hydro, they got electro-charged, bloom, and hyper-bloom

Well…we’ve been in Fontaine and so far he needed Neuvilette to beat the whale and got massacred by Arlecchino so…and it’s not like hydro traveler showed any power in gameplay lmaoooo

In the Dori & the knowledge capsule part of the Sumeru quest, they received a combat focused capsule & found that they already knew everything the capsule had to offer.

@@Silber_Ag Well yeah TECHNICALLY it buffed them, but the traveler isn't like us trying to minmax his abilities to deal big dick damage.

This in-lore power is what miffed me at how easily Dottore just showed up and took two gnosis and got away with it. The traveler took on Tartaglia in three consecutive rounds where he used more and more of his delusion's power and still emerged victorious. The Traveler took on D'valin, Andrius, and Azhdaha and won. The traveler took Signora in a fight where she used her full power and still won. Even Scaramouche recognized he had to poison the traveler to take them down as a in straight up fight in their encounter in Inazuma he stood no chance. In-lore, the Traveler has only been defeated once in combat and that's when they battled Ei who herself is a warrior god bred to battle elemental monsters. Even against Beisht who is an elder god, being slammed into a rock with the force of the sea was a minor inconvenience at best because the Traveler got up a few minutes later, went after Shenhe and helped her in subduing Beisht.

Tartaglia beat himself. He was literally winning with just his delusion. The traveler didn't beat andrius, azhdaha, nor dvalin. They had significant help for all three of them, and would instantly die if they fought them alone. Scaramouche NEVER said he thought he stood no chance against the traveler in inazuma. That's a total headcanon. Beisht wasn't a minor inconvenience. It casually knocked the traveler out. Imagine if the traveler got hit by the tsunami instead. The only fight you mentioned that actually matters for the traveler's scaling was signora, as that's the only one they genuinely accomplished on their own through their own power

Combat is not the only and strongest form of power, the Harbingers each manipulate a different type of power. Dottore as we've seen manipulates knowledge enough to challenge the Archon of Wisdom herself and even manages to outwit and out negotiate her, with just simple sound wave, he knocked the Traveler out. Another Harbinger we know who manipulates a different power is Regrator, known as the richest man in Teyvat, we can only imagine how he can manipulate the world with money to do anything he wants, send endless waves of assassins to chase the Traveler day and night, topple governments, destroy nations etc.

@@hellother52 His first phase was him using only his vision and a bow, his worst weapon. His second phase was him using only his delusion and the cutscene shows him overpowering the traveler in that phase. His third phase has him using both his vision and delusion, but the form also slowly kills him and causes immense strain, hence why he was shown exhausted afterwards. He only used this form because he thought the traveler had the geo gnosis when they didn't, prompting him to go all out when he didn't have to, putting him on a time limit he didn't need to have. Even then he's still focused on getting the gnosis rather than killing the traveler. Had childe stayed in his second phase, he would have beaten down the traveler.

Imagine, we are fighting dain/lumine or the heavenly principles in celestia or something. And we are using all the elements in a cycling manner ending with the traveler unlocking his or her original power to fight a stronger enemy.

I love the siblings as well. Wish we would get more interactions and lore with them. Their power is difficult to gauge since they typically receive help from others when fighting against notably powerful opponents (Raiden, Scaramouche, etc). I'd say they're below Archon level, probably around a higher tier Harbinger. By the end, I expect them to be roughly on par with the Archons since they mirror their abilities.

Something I've been pondering recently, if the concept that the Travellers might represent Citrinitas. This would be especially notable in Genshin where its the final step of the Magnum Opus. I seem to recall it being associated with solar light as well.

ohhh there’s definitely something here abt the primordial human project and the potential that the traveller could originate from teyvat,,, maybe rhinedottir did create the magnum opus. she made albedo and nigredo (durin). it would just leave rubedo. it makes me think of the red sky in the cataclysm. also rubedo is the last step not citrinitas so maybe gold made durin/nigredo/confession tried again with albedo/illumination, tried again with the twins/citrinitas/education and that caused the cataclysm/rubedo/transformation. i haven’t thought much about it but it’s definitely interesting

It's likely that they represent the Rebis as a whole, the end product of the Magnum Opus, rather than a single step. They represent opposing qualities: male and female, spirit and matter, sun and moon, that are meant to come together as "one". To draw parallels to Gnosticism I'd say Lumine is Sophia(Pistis Sophia possibly) while Aether is Jesus. They are syzygies. The journey of your main character is likely the stand-in for the steps of Rebis, as these steps are all about separating opposing qualities, much like how the twins have been separated and put down opposing paths.

Aster is the main reason as to why I somehow keep up with Traveler lore despite Hoyo pretending it doesn't exist for most of the year

Paimon mentions to Dain the similarities of Waypoints and Abyss Portals used by the Heralds. Not in HOW they operate but the WAY they operate is similar.

Hooray for Traveler appreciation! I really love the story that is unfolding for the Traveler and I can't wait to see how it's all going to come together. The fight with Scaramouche really showed how much stronger they have gotten since the beginning. Lifting heavy chunks of stone, jumping all over the place, it was amazing! What a difference compared to previous fights! I'm curious to see just how strong they will get. Thank you for putting this together!

The traveler is the descender. An outside entity, an outside force that not even the fearsome Archons or the gods of Celestia can control. It is this unpredictability that makes them a terrible threat to Celestia's plan. There is a single reason Teyvat's sky is like the way it is and there is only a single tyrant watching over all the fates in Teyvat's world, Celestia. The slivers of freedom and ascension snuffed out under its heavy hand. Yet no matter how hard it tries, it cannot ascertain the traveler's fate, which path he will take, or what destiny he will follow. The traveler excels at this core value for he is a secret weapon that Celestia can only watch helplessly as it destroys them. Btw, Please make a video about the identity of the Fatui Harbinger Capitano and his role in the upcoming story's events. Please!!!

Imo i dont think traveller is underrated they are exactly where hoyo wants them to be 'right now'. For us the players this is just a long tradition, for gacha-esque games, where your PC/starter character is either trash, less fun/enjoyable than every other character or a throw away character until you get something better.

Nahida also don't touch electro gnosis. Maybe contact with gnosis by gods make them become real archons. In this meaning Archon is strongest elemental god blessed by Celestia. But can be defeated just like in archons wars.

The writing of the travler is indeed fascinating,however, hopefully not too overly exatragrated when it does come to being written well. Sometimes writing protagonists, or any characters can be exatragrated. There must be a balance of power. To me,I find this much more interesting to what makes these characters intriguing.

I kinda wish that Electro Traveler could actually sprint as quick as Yelan. It would be extremely helpful, albeit slightly annoying if you want to just dodge a little bit. But other than that, I'mma go 12 crown Lumine rq.

"Power" in Genshin is determined by how strong a person's dream is, those with great dreams will manifest a Vision to help them achieve those dreams and the ones with greatest dreams will become Archons; The Archon war was essentially the clash of dreams of people with the greatest most influential dreams that would establish and protect their regions. By understanding that dreams are the source of ambition, motivation and power, we can see the unique role of the Traveler, they are the ones who are able to make the dreams of others come true. They are able to gather the dreams of others and channel them in the same direction, like many streams gathering into a powerful river and change the direction of fate. Fate is the ultimate enemy of dreams, if everything is destined, how are dreams even possible? The Traveler is someone who will gather the dreams of Teyvat into a force that will change fate and destiny.

I'm personally very interested to see what the Abyss Sibling fight will be like. It would be shortly after Dain after he tests to see if the Traveler is worthy of fighting them, and I can see it having 3 distinct phases. The first phase would be basic ground combat using the same abilities and even animations as their playable versions. Second would have the sibling summon their wings and start calling down stronger versions of the existing elemental abilities more reminiscent of the Archons. It's previously been noted that the Traveler's abilities often ressemble weaker versions of the Archons. Third phase would likely be where the player unlocks the Seraph Wings and would take place entirely airborne. Their signature weapons (which I like to call "Aetheric Blade" and "Luminous Blade") would likely be obtained before this battle and would be exclusive to the Traveler. Ultimately, I just want the cool swords and set of 6 ethereal wings. If free flight ever gets added to the game, I'm pretty much going to never walk anywhere again. It would also be cool if the wings add an additional ability when equipped that lets you "sprint" while flying by turning into a shooting star.

I think the reason the traveller is able to harness elemental energy so well is because of their power being taken, leaving them as an empty sponge looking for something else to fill the gap. Maybe instead of his old powers enhanceing the elements, it becomes either something else intierly, or just a powerful mix of all elements

Fun fact, like "the guy with an amazing hat" said, the sun is called "Tai Yang", and the moon was used to be called "Tai Yin" in ancient Chinese, but it changed over time to "Yue Liang" in modern language, which can be directly translated into shiny (Liang) moon (Yue). While Tai Yang never changed. By the way, the single word "Ri", which is originally used for “the sun”, means “day” now. ,Isnt it when the traveler is fighting with for or against the archon of that region, they only use the element that corresponds with that archon, but with traveler fights childe, they do so with all of the elements they had at that time. I cant wait for them to use more of the elements they have at there disposal.

The traveler definitely is near archon-level in power at this point of the story. I'm very curious how they (Hoyoverse) plan to hype the rest of the Harbingers. Outside of the top three, they simply don't feel like a credible threat to the traveler now.

Well currently I think that the traveler cannot fight the top 4 (I think that Capitano is the fourth and currently is stronger than the traveler). Also is possible that we have to fight multiple Harbingers at the same time. Anyway I don't know why most the Fatui minions still underestimate the traveler. Elchingen is so dumb to actually think he can defeat the traveler when the traveler have defeated 3 Harbingers.

I was disappointed to see the traveller intimidated by Dotorre, and by the end of the story I hope to see some characters actually afraid of the Traveller as their list of conquest expands. While some of their fights aren't known, eventually someone has to notice they've fought two harbingers, one almost-god, and one actual god and are still kicking.

I find it crazy that data miners are only focused on looking for upcoming banners/characters rather than looking for lore information. I would love for Genshin lore to be given to us through the archon quests but I don't want to wait 7 years for the story to unfold. Thank you for the video!

Lore doesnt have to be Beta Tested unlike gameplay. So leaks for lore are less common cause people got less access to that

Hard disagree. How disappointing would it be to learn everything about the game before it’s finished? Then you don’t get the appeal of experiencing it in the moment and after spending all of that build up to get to the conclusion. It’s like reading the last page of the book, you just don’t do that

Remember that time in the Taraglia fight when the Traveler used geo and anemo at the same time? and then hoyo just... did nothing with this and we haven't seen them dual wield any elements since then... tbh I think it shows that with some of these scenes hoyo was thinking more like "wow this would be a cool scene" and not about what that means for the character or the world at all.

I'm actually wondering where's the sword that the Traveller carries around when he was fighting the Heavenly Principles. I'm actually curious since he doesn't appear to have lost it, at least I don't remember any mention of him losing his sword so why is it that he doesn't have it? Is the sword a construct instead of an actual forged weapon that's permanent? Is it actually the dull sword that he is always carrying and that his old power turns it into that sword? Since watching the abyss sibling pull out her sword I've started to grow curious on why the traveller doesn't pull out his. It's clearly not the limit of the animation, like Dehya using a low star greatsword in cutscenes instead of I presume her actual weapon because it hasn't been released yet. I believe they might be hinting that the sword can only be accessed by a full power Traveller.

One of the theories is that the 'Divine Sword' Kaeya spoke of in his Story Quest - the one which in the end revealed to be just a Harbinger of Dawn - was in fact the Traveler's Sword who fell from Celestia the day of the battle, and Kaeya as per usual told us a 'half-truth'. It's not far fetched to thing that after that battle the Sustainer did not keep the sword and that it fell in the ocean on Teyvat's surface, like in Kaeya's story.

The traveler is also incredibly durable being able to take blows from Gods and god like characters and at best just getting back up and at worse being knocked out for about a minute or 2.

Whenever I hear resonate I think of that horror game where the enemies chase you and scream “Why doesn’t it resonate with joy!?”

I'm curious to see how they're portrayed in the anime. It will be neat to sew how they were before the battle against the sustainer.

I love talking about the strenght of a character and their potential! For me I kinda am confused over how we as celestial bodies that have seen the beginning of the universe apparently cant just one clap Childe, but lets just say the sustainer used some ancient power to contain us cuz I find it ridiculous to know some creature from Tevat can defeat ancient stars that are known warriors and travel worlds for a living That the unknown god can defeat is that easily So maybe Tevat is one of the smartest and most powerful worlds in existence and because they are that powerful they might have found some facts about us and some old texts with ancient power to contain us and drain us of our power Kinda like a opposites We are fire but because there is fire there is water that can put us out or we evaporate it whatever Since we landed in Tevat they have draining our power slowly and when we realised what they were doing we tried to escape and that way the sustainer could defeat us and use the device or creature to drain our power But energy can never really begone and maybe leyline energy is everywhere in the universum and that creature put our powers in there so everytime we touch the statues and learn new things we unlock some of our powers But also our power is flight and super strength and maybe those will re appear once we have all 7 elements That way its satisfying for me

Imagine what playable Omni-element Traveler would be like. I’m so curious as to if that would happen at the game’s end, but that’s also so far away it’s not a big concern right now, lol

one thing I wish we would get more elaborated on is why the travelers seldomly use their powers. I can understand why they don't use their full power when fighting some grunts because there's no need to. But for something more powerful and clearly poses a life-threatening danger, the traveler still fight like they are on equal footing with said threat. Hell, traveler sometimes get cornered by lesser foes even though they have defeated enemies like harbingers.

Cool video. So much time has passed since Traveler's powers were showcased, I couldn't even remember most of those, the video certainly helped me remember

The Traveler survived 2 rounds of being the Raiden Shogun’s punching bag! How many others did that? None as far as we know. The only one that survived a single round came out with 50% fewer arms.

one weird thing that i notice is if the traveler can really use teleporters. I say this cause during de sabzerus festival cycle anyone thinks of leaving the city by using a teleporter. I mean the traveler does leave the city but by climbing up a wall and walking out. I feel like they could've just teleported away (there are more than one teleporter IN sumeru city so the "in lore he would need to go to one to teleport" is no excuse) Also i'm not sure about this but when he arrives to inazuma (lore wise) i think he is stuck there until the abolition of the sakoku decree, which means he didn't (Couldn't) teleport back to liyue or mondstatd. So even if you argue that in sumeru they somehow manipulated the flow of ley lines (iirc the teleporter are connected to the ley lines) to prevent teleport i feel like there no way the same happened in inazuma

The Travelers were officially power-scaled during the Ganyu Character Quest. She says that the Travelers’ power is not inferior to hers, meaning that prior to Inazuma, Traveler was as strong as an Adeptus who fought alongside Zhongli. After training with Yae Miko, they’re at least comparable to Ei as they managed to not get demolished until Miko arrived. And that’s why they’re able to land those blows on Scaramouche ( who’s using Ei’s gnosis ), also considering the power up provided by Dendro ( which is evidently marginal ). So, Traveler’s level should be comparable to that Ei without Gnosis. ( Mind you that “Comparable” doesn’t mean “Equal” but along the lines of “Close enough but not quite”. For example 70-100 in favor of Ei )

the electro power isnt teleportation but turning into a lightning and traveling like that , just like keqing in her burst and diluc in a cutscene

I often see people saying the traveler isn’t strong because they always need to be saved (Xiao, Kazuha, etc.) and fail to account for all the people the traveler has saved. It’s kinda obvious that the traveler saved nations of people, reckless adventurers, researches, merchants… cough cough… A better example would be when traveler “saved” Alhaitham block a sneak hit from Cyno. The reaction speed and technique was on point.

I don't think we should ever possibly forget that travelers are also skilled in using all weapon types, they just find swords most comfortable.

" How strong is the Traveler? " Not strong enough to take me on "the Prinz der Dunkelheit" for he shall perish as his body is embellished in the flames of darkness.

I want to ask tho, Miss Aster : 1. Why traveler rarely using their elemental skills against enemies (specifically those in cutscenes) ? 2. when you talk about high mental resilience why they can still be put to sleep by Dottore?

Use the Gnoses... ALL of them and get BACK our power and become more powerful enough to Challage THE DIVINE THRONE Of CELESTIA! Flying into the sky! Our sibing.. the Archons.. Citizens seeing us as we fly and fight Celestia?

All I know is that they're still not able to defeat a literal god or archon without help but I think they're slowly but surely getting stronger with each nation they go to. I mean, "losing" to scara 168 times and only winning once means they still have a ways to go before they can be toe to toe with a god or archon. They're still hella powerful tho

A great video to watch before work

Although it only provides an advantage over a few select opponents the travelers future and past are unable to be read through the use of Astrology or Looking at Irminsul. This would be a much greater advantage if such abilities were more wide spread the only people I know of in the game and it's lore who can do ether of these things are Mona, Nahida, and Alice (Klee's mom, the famous adventurer).

I just realised the fungus in the mushroom event has almost identical skills to the traveler in each corresponding elements

wait, i was thinking, there's a theory about the vision is corrupted, is it the same for the elements? as the previous archon quest caribert, we saw the past memories of our abyssal siblings and we know how they became the princess/prince of the abyss which previously is princess/prince of Khaen'riah... also, our abyssal siblings companion is dainsleif, so, did the abyssal siblings start their journey after the cataclysm, fid their journey end at sumeru? our abyssal siblings already obtain their original power, or do they have them from start? when the we will be reunited quest, they used abyss power to attack dain, but why not their original power if they already obtained one? or do they used abyssal power bcs they dont want to show their original power? how can a combination of 7 element can result our original power? didn't we came from another world? or that just a lie? something wrong with our memories? also the omni elements can be seen at most domain, ancient ruin etc khaenriah ruin n spiral abyss... maybe the omni element were actually the abyss power which is the dark element? help i have so many questions 💀

I think of all the bosses that the traveller had faced, Scaramouche is the deadliest lorewise. Considering they had to go into 168 loops in order to find a way to defeat him In said loops, Nahida was donuted for 168 times and traveller got reckt by the same number of samsara idk if Nahida was just her being petty of the number of samsara sumeru peeps experienced and thus wants scara to experience the same number or they really need that much samsaras to fully analyze him and find his weakpoints. Regardless, they had a lot of trouble dealing with Scaramouche compared to like Raiden or Signora or Childe. Also, I have a suggestion, how about make a "How strong is Klee in lore next?" I think it would be fun 🤣
