Really that's all anyone would need even with a heavy rig. I was gonna get the new full size winch from Beeftubes to match my steering servo, but now I don't know. Great video.

Hey, I tried my reefs winch in gt5 5 and 6 channel, works great with potentiometer type knob. Great video, thanks for sharing. Jon

yeah but its getting cold and I need the insulation.

I been on the look for a servo winch for both my power hobby lcg like your and for my trail truck. I like the size space saving. Is there any draw backs to this over the internal spool winch

you should make a test bench for stress testing motors. it could be as simple as a gear with a band of steel over it with a bolt to push it down so you can progressively increase the stress on the motor to see when it lets the magic smoke out. no ones doing it yet

Man I've been working on a home brew dyno but just keep getting roadblocks on making it work right. It would be a dynamic load so heat would be a heck of an issue.

Dang that thing is cool! I don't need one on my trx4 bronco. But if you had the blazer body I can see needing one badly! haha just poking fun!!!

I would love to test this out on my short wheelbase 1/10 scale JK that is mounted on my d90 chassis and she's going to be quite heavy a truck with the roof rack on it I would say she's about 6 or 7 kilos

Throw the 422 on there and see what that beast drags! I put my Reefs on the Ch5 potentiometer, love the adjustable rate. The integrated controller is just great. Hopefully my store gets the 99 soon. Reefs said he's giving the new servo a chance to sell at retail first before adding stock to the online shop.

Those bigger winches would probably hit 40+

All i can say is damn

I do wish servo winch manufacturers would publish pull ratings on their servo winches instead of the servo’s torque. I do realize that if you know the diameter of the drum you can calculate an approximate pull rating, but it would be nice if it were published by the manufacturer.

yeah, closer inside it is the stronger. At least we know this little thing is good for 20lbs now.

The neutral hold with this Reefs 99 micro winch is weak. Yeah it pulls 20lbs but won’t hold it if you let off the switch. Ah, the things no one ever mentions. I bought this yesterday. Sorta disappointed. The neutral hold should be as strong as the pull until overload.

If your breaking shit, your expensive winch ($65 for kit) is just going to cost you more money. Impressive, but overkill and wasted money.

No no no, normally I don't winch that hard or break stuff while winching, this was a test to see just how strong it is and would it fail.
