Pickle Jay I mean sure technically he should still have those powers or at least be able to relearn and use them all the same but DDD had to make the garbage plot point of losing powers and even drive forms were lost in the process and he changed his clothes so the original drives are kinda gone 😕

Even a regular Keyblade can be an incredibly op weapon, not just as a blade, but as a key. These things have been shown to not just unlock any physical lock, but also a growing list of metaphysical locks. Sora alone has used his Keyblade to open portals between spaces, dreams, hearts, dimensions, and even the afterlife. Hell, the secret reports in KH3 seem to be implying that Keyblades can unlock access to alternate timelines. This is obviously just fan cannon, but It honestly seems that apart from kingdom hearts itself, these bad boys can theoretically unlock literally ANYTHING should their wielder's hearts be strong enough.

Heartless within the realm of darkness body the shit out of most people in KDH. Its where they’re at their strongest even the weakest heartless becomes a major threat. So a cluster of them, master or not you will get your shit pushed in if you’re not careful.

Do you think every single Heartless/Character Sora/Riku/Micky/Aqua fights or is near the same level of post being in the realm of darkness is faster than time itself? Which iirc would include Sora from before he ever entered the RoD? Do you think every character that is on par with Yao has Hercules level or higher striking power? My point was that trying to figure out Sora's power level is hard or even foolish due to how the nature of KH is written: He's wildly inconsistent between being extremely powerful or weak in his feats because KH will often put melodrama or humor ahead of making sense.

I never really thought about Kingdom Hearts Power Scaling, before this. And now I'd be terrified to fight Sora in combat.

I never once thought to consider that Sora's unreasonably thick plot armor could actually be an earned power born from his inner strength and love for others. The strength of his heart has allowed him to casually perform otherwise impossible feats. It is an incomprehensible power that brings Sora to god status at his full potential.

Sora and Riku fighting Xemnas in the end of 2, was probably the biggest example of powerscaling in all of KH. Dude was literally jumping miles, slicing buildings and skyscrapers in half, moving faster than the eye can see to deflect the laser dome.

While I often have issues with Seth's scaling, I have to admit that a lot of this is on the money. While on a purely physical level Sora has showcased mftl feats and physical strength in the tens of thousands of tons, that alone wouldn't put him on such a high level within fiction. Seth was totally right about the Heart. Within canon it's abilities are, to date, immeasurable.

Being a Keyblade Master has nothing to do with power. It represents you having full control over your heart. If power was important, then Terra would have been made a master instantly.

@@user-nf5qc8qp4n Riku uses darkness knowingly, with full control. Aqua only fell to darkness after over a decade of being worn down, alone, and tormented by the realm of darkness. Terra, even ignoring his masters overt hatred of darkness, made it clear he couldn't control it, even when he was actively TRYING to use it.

I think the most impressive thing in KH's verse is the variety of hax. Pretty much anyone has many different powers and resistances.

Well a key is a required item to open possibilities. Not specifically a door. Like the answer key to homework, the key to accessing greater knowledge, the key to defeating an opponent. A keyblade doesn’t just open a door, it opens limitless possibilities to an opening (if you get what I mean). The heart determines where you go which the heart in itself IS limitless possibilities however those are only as open as the person is currently capable of. Basically, despite the key being a god of its own (even the umbrella blade if that counts as a keyblade) it is only as strong as the wielder. Let me further explain this. The key opens doors. Inside the door are possibilities. Theoretically there is a single door for each possibility. The keyblade can unlock all of those doors. What if the heart doesn’t have a door to that possibility? Then there is nothing to open therefore it cannot be unlocked. However you can open the possibility of one door leading to another door because opening a door has limitless possibilities. Therefore you can unlock those doors through other doors. Now to apply this. Sora does not know everything and he does half the crazy mess he does without fully understanding it. He can do this because of the strength of his heart. The strength of a heart can basically be equivalent to its potential in how many doors or possibilities that can be made possible. Sora’s main source of power? His friends. His loyalty. His Courage and Determination to protect them. Through his crazy strong desire to protect the things he loves, he opens more doors of possibility of what he is willing to do. If he is willing to do it, it can be made possible. Fortunately the keyblade unlocks everything, including how or what is needed to do stuff. This is how anyone can beat the X-blade. Because it’s not STRONGER than the other keys, it’s just better at unlocking stuff. Like instead of training to learn how to get ars arcum, you just get ars arcum. Basically there are less doors to open. However a key can open all doors. So anyone can learn ars arcum if their heart, or better describes their desire is strong enough to do so. It’s kind of like a really convoluted lesson that anyone can do anything given the right tools. The keyblade is a tool to achieve anything. The desire to achieve that thing is what is needed which can be describe as having a strong heart. Which can also be described as having limitless potential, or possibilities, locked behind a door. A keyblade unlocks all doors. I think I might have made myself clear...? Kingdom Hearts is hard to explain but it’s fun trying.

The Aladdin remake - of all things - is actually a good indicator of Sora's power level. In it, Jafar explicitly wishes to become "the most powerful being in the universe," yet Sora kills him by his lonesome in KH2. This confirms your multiverse theory of the World's structure (after all, it's entirely logical someone from another universe could still be stronger than Genie!Jafar,) and firmly sets Sora's strength above cosmic-level entities.

Exactly X character beating this character don't always work. Some ppl are weak to certain equipment or builds. Superman example can crush most ppl in his universe outside hax gods. Wonderwoman Crushes Metallo but Superman loses to him or struggles due to him using Kryptonite but he can beat WonderWoman but wait he struggles on that person because of extra things applied. Basically some person might be equipped to beat just one type of opponent but fodder to the rest but the most powerful opponent might be their only one they can fight. some skills are like that as well. Basically you have to break everything down to get an understand on a character. Intelligence Strength Speed Durability Abilities Feats Most Important weaknesess if any.

Awesome video man. Glad to see a good analysis on Sora's power. The proof on here imo firmly makes him Universe+ to multiverse level depending on interpretation of his reset feat, along with the other top and god tiers of the verse. Also the hax of the verse are nothing to laugh at either.

Well, no. He only did that by beating the equivalent of the grim reaper before it could claim the lives of his friends. That caused an inconsistency in the universe, causing the universe to reset itself to right before their deaths. Sora doesn't have the power to rewrite the universe himself. The universe does it to itself. It's just a consequence of saving people from their rightful deaths. It has nothing to do with his own physical power.

I always thought that the power scaling in KH3 was inconsistent; one moment, Sora at his weakest can hold his own against four Titans, the next he runs away from Marshmallow like a pansy, who apparently can be knocked out by a tree, yet later on, is able to hold up a BLACK GENKI DAMA!? DX

Apparently, Marshmellow STOMPS all of the Titans from Olympus that were even bodying the Greek gods themselves 😆😆😆😆

So in short, as a highball Sora would be a 5D multiversal+ being in both attack potency and durability as a highball if the Kingdom Hearts verse is a multiverse that is infinite in size? As a lowball he would at least be a 4D being having universal+ to low multiversal being in attack potency and durability if he could rewrite a single dimensional universe or possibly multiple universes if we assume each world is a single universe. That would mean the Kingdom Hearts high tiers like Xehanort should scale from this if they are threatening to reset all of reality to 0. For speed, I'm not 100% sure but wouldn't Sora's speed be at least inaccessible due to moving around in a world without space or time as a lowball? As a highball I'm assuming Sora would have immeasurable speed if he has the power to rewrite all of reality but since I'm not sure on the requirements on having immeasurable speed I'm not sure what his speed would be. Damn, those are some crazy strong characters.

It’s gonna be somewhere 5D since Xehanort himself transcended Space Time, and yet he still sought the X-blade, and yet on top of being powered by the 13 seekers of darkness on top of that Sora’s heart still overpowered him. Heartless Ansem was already threatening the Multiverse back in KH1, then Xemnas actually got amped by Kingdom Hearts in 3 and Sora still beat him alongside Riku, so 5D and absolute highball potentially 6D Complex Multiversal for the highest possible estimate.

A thought i have regarding the keyblade. It can "unlock" things, even on a conceptual level, like unlocking a "heart" or "ways to other dimensions", so can it unlock your hidden potential?

Thats been my personal headcannon to be honest. If we consider the keyblade to be a multivurse level skeleton key, then it isnt hard to imagine that it awakens its weilders hidden potensial as a by-product of extennded use.

@@michaeladams-burnett1238 It's very possible that Keyblades unlock hidden potential. The Keyblade of People's Hearts was able to do it to Maleficent and unlock her ability to enter her dragon form. It might be possible that normal Keyblades can do it too, although TKoPH is very unique compared to others, so my statement should be taken with a grain of salt.

@@Neon2hu Hell that specific Keyblade split Sora into a heartless and Nobody creating 2 existences at half their full power and as a heart while in Castle Oblivion Sora was able to learn abilities he wouldn't have thought of in Kingdom Hearts one like Elemental magic technique like his Elemental Raids, Blitz's, etc. While as Roxas (yeah he's his own person) was able to use Sync Blade to wield not only 2 Keyblades, have his own limit break and desperation move which is amazing in of itself that I wish Sora learned himself after reuniting with Roxas, and he's fast in his own right faster than Sora if his boss and data battles in II were anything to go by. Then despite Sora forgetting all the abilities he learned in COM he reunited with Roxas bring them back to full power with, Sora having the potential of Roxas in the process Then you got his Drive Forms which are OP in of themselves and when mastered allows Sora to use specific abilities in base at their maximum like Quick Run which is like a flash step version of Dodge Roll if one of the commands were anything to go by. So picture this imagine Sora with Roxas' boss battle/data battle speed + Quick Run at the maximum level in base in my opinion he'd be just as fast in SS Arc Bankai Ichigo with the desperation move and limit break added would make Sora a monster.

One interesting thing people don't seem to notice is in kingdom hearts 2 after Sora uses the keyblade on xemnas he stops moving entirely which implies the keyblade can lock a person as well.

Love this video! I also wanna point out that Sora's ability (specifically in KH2) to Mimic the attacks, style, abilities, or even weapons of his opponents is outstanding! Just a few examples, being able to match and surpass Lexaus's power level in their fight. Being able to take and wield Marluxia's scythe. Being able to take Roxas's Keyblades and tri-wield them. Sora's potential is practically limitless!

Wow that is a really cool end screen, serious props to whoever made it, and large points to you seth for actually keeping with the bittersweet and somber tone that kingdom hearts tend to have, even through the ending. Honestly, I think this is my favorite video you've ever produced. I know that means next to nothing comming from a seemingly nobody like me, but, still, thought I'd get my voice out there. And if you include gameplay (At least for one case) Sora becomes even more OP. As the Ultima Weapon in KH3 does mimic aspects that Xehanort uses with the X-Blade. Which makes sense, as the Ultima Weapon is supposed to be the pinnacle of Man-made keyblades, ones based off of the original X-Blade, so it would take on traits logically. And with that, along with Sora's cannon power even without it, Sora would become an Absolute monster in regards to power.

So, in other words, Sora has the power of the 'main character immunity'. He has potential but it's like what Yen Sid said in the game where his power is accidental. I wouldn't call it accidental though. But like Sora said himself, his friends are his power and in the KH world, by just believing wholeheartedly, a character will suddenly have a sudden immense boost of power. This is more to inconsistent power level if you ask me.

I wanted this for a lifetime, glad you didn’t think twice about it. I don’t wanna know how people are gonna react though

A great example of a character that is way stronger lore wise than in gameplay is the "Hunter" from Bloodborne, who can survive small star explosions cast from "A Call Beyond"

i'm actuallly decently surprised you scaled sora as well as the other characters that scale to him or above him to multiversal meaning you researched all the games,guides,reports,manga,etc damn good research seth I applaud you man. You don't always do things right but this you did correct props on you @SethTheProgrammer i'm moderately impressed. seeing as the realms are infinite multiverses the disney worlds are universes that have galxies star systems and that the 4 realms are all endless multiverses it's safe to say that the kingdom hearts universe at the very least has multiversal characters. You did forget one thing riku did achieve the power of waking and a higher level than sora an by the time of kh3 sora and riku are at the same level of power and by the way nomura did say that he's making 2 more kingdom hearts games, their will be one before kh4 and then he's making kh4 the next game sora will be getting rescued from death by riku. The power of waking did have consequences sora just didn't care lol

There also the fact the Keyblade breaks a users power ceiling as it has the power to open any lock even conceptually by harness the power of the heart to do anything so long as the user has the will to enforce that desire.
