Great home setting you got there dude
20secs😱😱😱 it definitely reflects my life at the moment. For such a long time I have noticed my breath is irregular & have really felt the need for meditation & yin yoga. Our mind & body connection is incredible when we stop & observe. Thank you amazing life & @Breathe and Flow🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
34 seconds. I was expecting this. Thanks so much for creating this video. I have started doing pranayamas from the last 3-4 weeks and it feels really good and calm after that. Will continue to do those and also try to be more conscious about my breathing pattern while I'm awake. Thank you again for sharing this!
Got untill 56 seconds. I was actually quite stressed before this practise, but during the hold, I totally relaxed. Really needed this, thank you flo!
41 seconds and I'm happy about it! I began to do breathwork in february and it changed my life 😁 I want to thank your channel on KZread, because it helped me to discover the beaty of yoga and the importance of a good life style! Sending you, Bre and Ailo lots of love ❤️

So you take a breath every 40 seconds then when you are sitting normally?
11 seconds, I have had chronic pain and chronic stress issues for a while. Praying this yoga and some yin practices help me out. Love all your videos!!! Thank you
Great stuff as always, thank you!
Thanks again for making amazing content. My score was surprisingly low, between 18-21. Thank you for the advice to do calming things. Yin yoga and chillin in the sauna for me. Love 🙏☮🌊
Thank you, Flo!
Thank you ever so much, I am really working on my breathwork, and I have enjoyed your explanation. Great video 📹 👍
After CARS, asana and tummo breathwork, i'm at 1:07. Thats crazy how much this practise warps my body. Just during a normal day i'm at like 30 seconds. So much love ❤️❤️
This was the perfect way to check in with myself before my practice. Now I am more informed about what I need today. Thanks for another great video!
Excellent & valuable information. Thank you.
Great video!!
10 seconds. Will definitely add this to my morning routine.
thanks for sharing this was fun and very interesting!
Chad here. Just want to thank you for sharing this and for all of your posts the past few years. I’ve been doing several of your classes and I know they have made a huge impact on my mental health. For me, it has been especially beneficial seeing another man doing yoga and sharing healthy living without the need for toxic masculinity or extreme toughguyness haha Only got 14 seconds though 😅gotta lot more work to do, but I’m content with showing up today. Anyways, congrats on everything! Typically don’t post on many people’s videos like this, but having this moment to breathe encouraged me to do so.

This very insightful Flo.. Thank you 🙏🏻 👊🏻 63 seconds…
Love your vids!
long time no see, thank you
It is great, You explainanout the funconal breathing. 😍🙏
Thank’s 💙💛
Thanks ❤️
24s, it was great to have this test to take a baseline and realise I need to improve on it
for me its different every day. When I woke up today, my score was at 33 seconds, now I did it in the evening and it was 23 seconds. I guess thats because when waking up im super relaxed and over the day I get stressed. I think I will add more gentle breathwork with longer holds into my routine before sleeping!
Very informative. I made it to like 4 secs, but I know I can go longer lol. Will practice.
How i wish I've seen this sooner 😢
34 seconds ✌🏻 will definitely keep working on it
Wim Hof Breathing is only through the mouth so I’m actually surprised about your explanation. Curious about your opinion regarding the Wim hof breathing test tbh. This is a great test that everyone can do, I really appreciate this practices. Also, I enjoyed the previous video too (which there is as well exhaling through the mouth). I believe more videos on breathing 😮💨 will explain me the best practices for breathing proper. Keep it up Flo!✌🏽

Wim Hof breathing can also be done through the nose. For a short time to induce a certain effect as with wim hof breathing, which is really a from of bhastrika and kumbaka, is totally fine as it is intentional and only for this short duration of the practice. Besides those brief practice moment, breathing through the nose and breathing less is the only correct way.

@@BreatheAndFlow Thank you so much for the whole explanation Flo! As a performance psychologist working on the field of football/ soccer I found essential to know more about how to breath in different moments of the life of an athlete, with this I am referring to the life & habits he/she has on and off field. Thanks again & I’ll give myself a try of Wim hof only with nose breathing. 🙏
Hvala!

Thank you so much for this wonderful video! I'm just realizing that the sleep apnea machine that I've been using for 5 years, although has helped with my apnea and has certainly decreased my exhaustion during the day, has not helped me breathe through my nose. I am still breathing through my mouth at night. Probably going to some type of doctor to find out why there are blockages in my nasal cavities keeping me from breathing properly when I lay down will help me improve my life. By the way I failed miserably at the CO2 test LOL 16 seconds

Highly recommend you read james nestor's book "breath". He talks about exactly these blockages: kit.co/breatheandflow/suggested-books/5586564-breath-the-new-scien
This was interesting^ 0:47 seconds for the first test in morning On the second attempt 1:02 . Seems good I guess
In looking to cross reference this technique, others who talk about the CO2 Tolerance Test prescribe three full breaths at 3 sec in and 3 sec out then timing how slowly you can exhale until all the air is gone. I found a reference to the BOLT test that sounds very similar to your method but it has you hold your nose closed. I'm curious, in your method, what is the threshold of the impulse to inhale? Just the slightest impulse or thought? How do these two methods of testing compare?
What do you think of doing holotropic breathwork retreats if your CO2 tolerance is very low? Would it be counterproductive?
33 seconds. Room for improvement 😁
🙏
On your final breath before the exhale and breath hold, do you take a deep breath in?
❤
This is very interesting. I was curious so I tried the test even though this may not be the most significant time, as this morning I drove to a city 3 hours away to do an exam for a job in the public administration. I've been preparing for this exam for over a month. I got back home about two hours ago, and my score on this test was... 13 seconds. I guess I'm still antsy over the exam! I'm super curious to try again tomorrow morning and see if I get a different result.

All the best for the exam and for your continued practice. Definitely 'test' more often since a good night sleep, busy day can make a big difference.
I am doing samavrity and really ease my breath when I git cough
But there are specific breathing techniques where inhaling or exhaling is done through the mouth. What is the reason behind this technique
So do i breath a bit deeper than usual with this practice. Like if my regular breathing is about 20-50% of my lung capacity, for this practice you breath in between 50-80%. So strong and "aware" breathing, but not intense?

Can having a low co2 tolerance cause sp2 levels to fluctuate? I get constant air hunger and my spo2 levels fluctuate from 92-96

@@BreatheAndFlow I watched it just now. So can I gain some healthy weight (not much) by doing yoga? Or it will burn the only fat I have. All I hear from people is that yoga is only for weight loss. I want to gain weight. Should I do yoga with empty stomach? That's it burn my calories and decrease my weight? Btw I don't need a muscular body just healthy weight with some good fat without belly .
🕉 ❤
made it to 44 seconds
Is this more a gauge of breathwork technique as it is something learned: co2 tolerance. Or is it a gauge of underlying stress or where the sympathetic nervous system is at? I think it’s a bit of both but more a gauge of technique. I did significantly better in this test kzread.info/dash/bejne/dqCf3M-ccbK-YKQ.html
How stressed? As Ukrainians are, bro, just cool))

mine is also around 10 - 20 seconds ... need to work on it. the excerises to make the mini brakes or breathing slower and practise to tolerate some air hunger are really good and help to get the times up, its hard to understand that you can breath too much, but it really works well if you breath less
