This was an awesome video! It's amazing to see that Audi get air. For clarification, the Trail Swing used in this video was modified. This was not modified by Dirtcom. A 3rd party extended the hitch reciever tube and the extension failed at the welds. We'll have to get Ken a proper Trail Swing so he can continue to enjoy his charcuterie!

Yeah, I might’ve gotten a little too sendy for the make-shift extension we hobbled together for the Trail Swing from Dirt Complex. I think we’ll let professionals handle the modifications next time. Ha.

Man, the advertising Audi is getting for a relatively small investment is phenomenal. Whoever in their marketing department came up with the idea of signing Ken onto the Audi team deserves a raise.

I agree with this. While to the average person the investment may be huge, say $1m worth of cars and parts another $1m in cash and flights and stuff... If even 1,000 people out of ken block and hoonigans multimillion followers are now inspired to get an Audi, say an average of $50k each, that's 50 million off of 2 million investment. Talk a big ROI.

@@tannerrood2980 But the company only makes ~2.5k in profit per car, so it's only a profit of around 500k assuming the deal "only" costs 2 million and 1000 people buy a new Audi from a dealer because of those videos. (I doubt it a little bit). I guess this deal isn't something which Audi wants instant profit from and they probably won't get instant profit, but they can present their company to a young car enthusiast audience, which might pay off in a couple of years, when more of them are older and in the financial position to buy a new car.

And consider the demographic. How many Hoonifans are actually able to afford a new Audi in the next decade? Go hang out on an Audi lot for an hour on Saturday and you'll see the problem. Best case they are inspiring the next generation of Audi customers. Toyo and Rotiform are getting much better present value.

Neil really seems to bring out the childish Ken, gotta love it! Have him over for more stuff!

Ken, you should and Neil should just make a whole series of you sending it, scaring the crap out of him as passenger- because this was just amazing

Yeah but my concern on the knife-edge when Ken stopped up-there the heavy weight of this eTron EV might or could induce a huge crack & follow by a massive slide of the top of-edge trapping the boys in all that, potentially end pretty bad.. happy to see none of that happen and all things end up nicely.. (well except loosing rear gear) ;0)

In my third year owning an e-tron: what you say is 100% correct and the wicked charging curve tries hard to offset the range (it's still one of the fastest road tripping EV SUVs). If you order one now, most likely you'll end up with the (yet to be officially released) MY23 facelifted e-tron which is expected to get a significant range increase (EPA 300+ miles) and a boost in overall power as well. BTW: this car is insane in the snow. It's clearly better than the previous AWD cars I owned: the electric drivetrain is phenomenally responsive.

I've been loving the partnership videos with Audi. One of my favorite car brands and rally drivers combined.

If you don’t do multiple takes for filming like they probably did, I think you can get away with just one full charge for a day of fun. Provided you don’t live that far away, or that you leave enough to get to the nearest charge point.

Not true: There are many of us working these cars hard. Not at this level but for sure deep snow in the winter and Forest service roads in the summer. One of the most under appreciated features of e-trons is the fact that they are a full on SUV that just happens to be electric. These aren't "iPads on wheels": they can handle some decent off-road, as much as you'd expect a stock SUV to be able to handle.

It would be fun to see you do a hybrid run up the Knife's Edge and go straight up as you did and then hoon a quick 180 at the top and go back down the way you came. Sort of an inverted tear drop instead of an arch like the rest.

nah, you need quad motors or a motor at each wheel to see Individual Wheel Torque Vectoring and crabwalk up the wall!

I hate the air time feeling as a passenger. Rally school being shown the lap by a crazy instructor is not fun.

I've lived in Utah my entire life, and felt like I had explored and seen all of it, but had never heard of this location...

Wonder if they brought a portable charger since this would drain the battery quite fast on a heavy car like this and on my car you only get boost if battery is at 80-100% :) And if the battery overheated at all (i have a Q4 e50). Loved the video though :)

I think you already know, but if you hold the traction control button for 3-5 second the car will turn off all the assistance (the dynamic mode isn’t doing that). It will make it easier to drift.
