How Stands the Glass Around? - British Folk Song
Музыка
"How Stands The Glass Around?" ("Why, Soldiers, Why?"), also referred to as "General Wolfe's Song", is an English folk song. It became notorious after Wolfe was reported to have sung it before the Battle of the Plains of Abraham (1759), gaining thereby the alternative title of "General Wolfe's Song". Shown with images of British soldiers during the period, including several of the famed General Wolfe.

Historic and very well planned and fought by the British.
Thank you for posting this, it's one of my favourites now I have to say. This version which I know is from the Red Coats album is superb and shows just how our boys felt, it really hits home; actually if I may say so sir, it hits me right in the genes. Rule Britannia, God save the King!
I’d love to hear more early 18th century songs
