Another one you could've added with GoldenEye and Spectre is that both of the main villains had close connections with Bond. Best friends with Alec and step siblings with Blofeld

I think Bond casually stepping out of the window of his hotel room in the PTS of SPECTRE is another reference to DAF, as Bond does that in that movie as well, when he's with Tiffany and casually steps out of the window to have a look at Willard Whyte's Penthouse

I suppose it does sound a bit sinister in places! They're tracks from an old synth CD of Bond themes, which I played a lot when I was young as it was the only Bond themes CD I owned. Wanted slightly different music to the standard themes and currently experimenting with adding music to videos as I know it's something they lack.

What's DAF?

That scene from For Your Eyes Only where Bond is about to go skiing and the baddies follow him into the elevator resembles the scene from Spectre when Q is sitting in the aerial tram while the bad guys are sitting there with him

I think it's worth mention that the appearance of Christoph Waltz's portray of Blofeld is a combination of both Donald Pleasence and Charles Gray

how about this one: In Octupussy ,it is said that years before Bond captured her father and let him commit suicide. In This flick, he let Mr. White commit suicide, then later hooked up with his daughter.

Yes, that line in Octopussy is a reference to the Fleming story of that name, effectively making the film a sequel to Fleming's story.

This one, Goldfinger and You Only Live Twice had Professional Wrestlers as Henchmen.

Bond trying to gain control of the helicopter actually comes from You Only Live twice, so the GoldenEye scene itself is a reference, and when he leaves through the window at the beginning Is a reference to Diamonds are Forever, when James is in the Hotel.

"It's hard to find references to Diamonds" - Dude, how many references are as strong and obvious like the dialogue with a rodent? Great video btw.

Hazo Evo Waltz himself has said he won't be back, who knows maybe they will recast Blofeld like they did every time he returned in the old ones or maybe Blofeld won't be back at all. Spectre was shit anyway and the story they did with Blofeld was beyond dumb..

I loved spectre, but I think it would have been brilliant with a "view to a kill" like ending. If Bond had grabbed on to a rope from the helicopter and had a finale showdown with blofeld on top of tower bridge or the shard. Like the duel between him and Zorin. Great film though.

It would be interesting if the actual Tomorrow Never Dies reference from Spectre is where Daniel Craig is waiting for Money Penny, because in TND itself, the scene (where Pierce Brosnan's Bond is waiting for Paris Carver) was actually considered at the time to be reference to a scene in Dr No where Connery is sitting down playing cards and waiting for a bad guy to arrive before gunning him down. Interesting then, because wouldn't that make this a reference within a reference !?

Both FYEO and SPECTRE feature a Bond vs. Blofeld battle with one of them in a helicopter set against the backdrop of the London skyline.

I realized a week ago, when i watched For Your Eyes Only. That the scene in this movie, where Q confronts the goons in the ski lift. Is similar to the scene in For Your Eyes Only, where Bond Confronts Locque in the ski jump tower.

They were so busy working in all these references that they forgot to write a good script.

A well put together video on the topic! I do also believe DAD has references to all previous movies, however I don't think that you'd want to look through that one!

These are more similarities than references but still great video and it was very interesting to learn about all of these which a lot I didn’t know about. I think License to Kill has the biggest reference with both villains not wearing socks.

Also when Bond looks at Mr Hinx during the Rome car chase, it's similar to For Your Eyes Only when he's driving the small Citroen.

Obviously I'm a fan of the Bond film franchise and books, and even though I thought Spectre was one of the weaker Daniel Craig outings, there were a few things that resonated in my mind recalling previous movies. Where is that remix of Living Daylights from?

I'm a big fan of all of the Bond movies and seen all of them several times to the point that I'll watch them with the sound off if they come on

I wonder if this will happen again in the next film, especially as it will be Bond 25 which some may consider a milestone. Plus as Bond 25 sounds like it will be released near the end of 2019 or early 2020, it's unlikely Bond 26 will be released in 2022 for the 60th anniversary of the film series. Unless of course they somehow manage to get Bond 26 underway sooner and release it 2 years after Bond 25 like they used to. As opposed to waiting 3-5 years for the next film, which has usually been due to financial issues or whatever.

In "Spectre" the meteor Crater lair is much like the villains lair described in the James Bond continuation novel "Role of Honor" which came out in the early 80's and was written by John Gardner. The villains lair from the novel was run by SPECTRE which makes a return in 3 of John Gardner's continuation novels. Also, this is unrelated to the SPECTRE movie but, the climax from A View to A Kill takes place on an airship like the climax of "Role of Honor."

I believe Conel Moon in Die Another Day was a reference to Clonel Sun.

Absolutly cool video. I also saw the video Who is Spectre and how it ressembles to all movies. To me thinking it over again: Spectre is great. I am writing a novel momentarly about The new world order and as a big James Bond fan... they are Spectre this organisation. It s fun watching all the Bond movies and see how they referee to another. For instance: 006 (Goldeneye) is a former member of MI6 - turns out (changes) to an enemy he thinks he's been betrayd Silva (skyfall) a former agent (also for revenge) thinks he's been betrayd (wich he is so everything's corrupt I guess) So you have all those references: Halle Barre stepping out of the water (Dr No) I say it's fun. and as an artist I made 3 paintings from James Bond movies and in my novel Spectre is The New World Order.

The gunbarrel is at the start again and has the classic maurice binder theme to it.

that octopus on Bond's gun in the title sequence is a reference to the title card and design of Octopussy

One of the other things I noticed was that when Hinx (jaws tribute) flies off the train is how his demise is carried out. He is attached to a rope with a line of barrels, which is exactly what happens in....Jaws. Robert Shaw, (Red Grant in FRWL) shoots the attached rope of barrels into the shark. This was to drown it....it didn't work...and I don't think it worked with Hinx..

Hinx is killed by having barrels attached to his neck, much like the shark in Jaws has barrels attached to it. Jaws... are you getting it?

I always thought Colonel Sun was the backstory to Die Another Day. However, as I'd like to reference a better Bond Film, wouldn't Smart Blood call back the Radioactive Lint in OHMSS?
