Hi thanks for your comments and 7 terminal is used for over current protection and 8 used for stop nc contacts both should be in NC then only starter will allow to start the motor Thank you

Can we use soft starter for 3 to 5 hp motors

Thanks for your comments and as per standard up to 5 hp we can use DOL starrer ia enough and if you want use soft starter that's is also acceptable Thank you

You probably already got your answer. Yes, it is an industry standard to use soft starts on EHPUs. The bigger the motor and pump, the more a soft start is needed.

Can we use soft starter in eot crane instead of Vfd?

On crane you may use vfd, but need brake unit and brake resistors, these elements need to clarify with vfd manufacturer.
