Something about this does NOT seem harmless and at the very least must cause tremendous stress. I’m no vegetarian or vegan and don’t plan on it, but I really don’t like when brands give us misconceptions like this just to sell products…

Note how it says HARMLESS not PAINLESS, this just means that it doesn’t kill them so they can repeat the process again and again. This would cause pain, it’s like us being sprayed in the eyes with lemon and crying. This is definitely not a cruelty free product :(

Tbh it depends on what you consider harm. Most of us have no problem jumping out and scaring someone, or our cat, or dog or whatever as harmless fun. The ethical dilemma the consumer has to decide for themselves is if startling the snails constitutes “harm.”

Nah bro id rather let the garden snails chill on my bare legs while i relax outside. They enjoy the chill time and get rewarded with food and friends. Plus no guilt in torturing living beings. Its like me saying i pyschological tortured a kid to get his tears but dont worry i didnt harm him. 😂 like damn the backward logic in this and silkworm production etc is wild.

Too bad you can't buy that pure snail slime right there as a regular customer without all of the additives that make the product dangerous. Cause I would love to consume and use pure snail slime due to the fact it absorbs incredibly well into your skin. The allantoin in snail slime is regenerative. Cause once a snail shell is damaged, it produces the slime to rebuild it.

I will never buy snail mucin ever again. Just for the beauty of us human being they have to go through such pain and also its very expensive and shit.

Not really sure if we should buy into the whole "cruelty-free" scene for snail mucin. I have personally loved it for a long long time now, but recently one of my viewers brought my attention to this matter. As a follow-up, after some research, here's what I found on Mayo Clinic's official website (which most experts consider to be a good platform for reference): "Is snail mucin cruelty-free? Snail mucin is collected in different ways - some friendlier than others. To produce a particular protective mucin, snails must be under stress. To stress the snails, they’re often poked with a stick or sprayed with a small amount of sodium chloride to start the stress response. The snails are in a machine that collects their slime. The snails are kept in a safe place while they recover and then are released back to their homes. In another process, snail shells get cracked and the snail bodies are removed. The snails are washed in cold water to separate the mucin for collection."
