cool video ^_^ although the main reason for sb "dying" is: The game always does bad around September... it has dipped there every year since release and the main reason for it "reviving" is: we did some testing to see which icons performed best, and applied the most "optimal" icon on the 6th of Jan. It did well, and a week later, the algorithm was like "oh wow sb has an optimal icon" and doubled our players. Weird I know, but that's how roblox works lol, people always overanalyze super specific parts of the game, and attribute CCU turbulence to this or that glove being OP, boring, etc, when in reality it's often just things like people going back to school, algorithm being weird or things like that. Also, the game just does better when the "bad months" are over. amazing video though

The game brought me so many fun moments with some friends i met there, we were literally doing anything you could think off with any glove, i'm glad i spent the amount of time i spent to get all the gloves in the game, going in-game and flexing the most hardest gloves to get. Me and my fellas knew a ton of bugs no one knows till this day, the game is very unique and i hope it never will never die. Thanks Tencell

I hear a lot of people say that slap battles has fallen off, but I think slap battles either can’t get “better” since its peak may have already passed, or everyone just hates how it has so many exploiters and that ten “needs to make a better anticheat” despite how making an anticheat for things like slap aura can lead to more false kicking and more unhappiness with the community. sysiphus…

this video was GREAT 10/10. even with its problems i stayed with sb, its nice seeing people joining again :)

I found SB before it become popular when it had a little less than a thousand player active I stop playing about a month after but nice to see that the game is still going strong

the reason i think admin did so well when it released was because, anger is one if not the most, engaging emotions, so the more people failed, the more they wanted to take it, this also applies to things like rob, pan, it's really cool to look at.

a big thing for me was that all of the badge obtainment methods involve other people. i don't have friends who are good at sb, and randoms are rarely kind or smart enough to help you.

I don't usually comment on videos, but keep up with the good work man!

Honestly the hunt was the reason i started playing slap battles. Because i was getting badges and used to not like slap battles but i went to the portal by accident and i just had fun without doing the hunt. I have gone so far into the game. That i am bored but i will not quit it until i get all the gloves

Bugs and glitches got patched quick ( meanwhile that one glitch when u can’t slap eternal bob not being fixed after nine months)

This guy genuinely deserves more attention, his videos are very interesting and fun to watch and are really well put together

SB was my favorite game on roblox 1 year ago, until the slap royale update. I quit after this as I thought new gamemodes would make the game more complicated and have 10 - 20 gloves linked to it when I liked the obtainment meathods at the time. I returned to the game at summer of 2023, the recall update. THIS WAS A BANGER (Although it took me and hour to get recall and it was super buggy) I had so much fun getting recall and playing that update. Havent missed an update since and frankly dont plan on ever doing it again. I am with that game until its downfall. (Yes its my favorite roblox game again)

One of the most fun i had in sb in a while was got in a duel with retro and pan with a guy in a public Server

imo jester is a really fun glove and the only simular thing it has to retro: you gotta jump twice to switch modes but i have to agree that its really lame to just to have to die to the cube of death with evade also crazy you play phighting considering its so underrated

ever since the pan glove released, I have seen so many players trying to get the ugc which makes me happy but a little competitive.

6:07 i was trying to get admin early and heck it was hard, first i alerted my friends about it then we found out theres a admin apply button in retro then i enabled live in discord for my friends and we starting the puzzle. First room taked some time but it was fun when u dont know what to do so first i found the pc from the computer then i disabled cameras and after some 10 mins i found the thing... forgor what was the name and then i died from this nextbot sneaking to me then my friend told to try and close the vent, after that i needed like 4 tries for the parkour and the creepy part came like when u dont know what to do and some creepy sounds play and you realise every second something could jumpscare u

As of someone is banned for no reason on my main i can say, Slap Battles is still going strong

good vid, tho the cannon nerf isnt rly effective (still one shots) and the new glove (divebomb) is litterally everything we don't want (an annoying obtainment, a dumb op glove with psycho and a portable cannon but even stronger). I think they're trying to make it better but they don't really put effort into the balance changes and bug fixes (they said they fixed the killerfish tournament bug, but i tested it in private and it still works sooo...) Also, the hunt event felt so underwhelming, and glovel was just excavator forever ig. They also haven't touched sr in so long, it's super unbalanced, there's hackers everywhere, and nothing is being done about it. I believe the devs can do better but they still need to do more.

as a 600k slaps, i quit the game but i recently came back and its really fun especially when you got a friend (or friends) playing with you, for example cloud + leash + rob is really fun, 2 pushers too, really good game, started playing 1.5 year ago and doesnt get old, slap battles is always funny and very buggy

the only reason i don’t play slap battles is because of one ability in one other game cuz engineer in ability wars has so many possibilities that i can never get bored but there aren’t any gloves like that in slap battles

same, i was doing the bob bossfight and we got stuck in a loop so we gave up.

Admin is what brought me back, I saw the obby and was like; “oh i can do that.” (I couldn’t but it’s good to be back.)

half of the gloves in the past few months were mid ngl i loved the little features they added though (like the mobile drop button and play again button for slap royale)

I think the next glove you make is prison glove were it looks like a orange colour and when activated the ability is called soletary confinement and you get put in jail for 20 seconds

i remember playing this game a year ago when it was popular a lot

I came back to sb for rob then quit after a couple days then fast forward to run wich is what got me back

I mean i stopped playing slap battles since i never got good at it but i see that the game is enjoyable. I started around early february 2022 and in my perspective slap battles was in its prime when BoB glove released.

One update that i've always loved are halloween update 2021 and 2022 ones, they were were so creative and awesome for me but 2023 came in and they just reused the same obtainment for larry on necromancer... It was so disappointing especially considering they were hyping it up so much. Also, slap battles had its golden era and i've realized the quality of the updates have gotten somehow worse with more devs. Back when tencell was a solo dev, the game just felt really unique and different from the other ones but now it's filled with anime and reused glove concepts, it has sure lost its identity over the past year and well i can't deny it was expected.

Maan haven't played slap battles in almost 5 months. It was my favourite game for the longest time. I had alot of fun memories in slap battles. I might return soon

I’ve said it millions of times that SB peak was because it was summer which meant more people had time to to play, sucks that most people assume slap battles was falling off when most of their gloves aren’t that different from when they were in 2022 or 2021

It would be nice if they delayed an update to fix some gloves (I wanna see fish and parry nerfed to the ground or atleast parry)

The reason why I quit slap battles for November and December is because I was slow the halloween event took to much effort and when more gloves came out and I didn’t have those required gloves to get them and I try to catch up but no one would help me

Lamp glove is actually a pretty neat glove, There's a lot of pros on it, and it doens't get boring to use! You can make players with powerful gloves run away from you. It can be active on timestops. It's one of the best gloves for PVP, because it can literally blind others. Even when it's broken, It even gets more knockback! The obtaining method isn't too easy, but it's VERY worth it!

The fact it was soo fun was this : IT WAS SOO hard at first and everyone wanted it The boss fight was buggy but it was fun as well And maybe The fact u got something whats soo hard to get and just flex on ppl that don´t have it was fun another the null zone it felt like a secret that needs to be forbiden it was grandiose dark not that easy to get thru especialy with random players + u could get a ugc that is only 50 k in the world soo everyone was playing it to get it (BOTH WEREN´T even said so u didn´t know how to get to the bob bossfight or the null zone it was super fun just to try diff things to eventualy ge there) the update logo looked sick + the desings the idea was perfect and the timing as well (for the update)

On my opinion, slapstick is my fav gloves of all time. It awards u with slaps! With 1 mil slaps u get an golden chain that says "troll" and a golden tophat. Even it rewards u over 50k 100k 200k 500k i think

Imo: it’s just the difficulty, between glove badges since everyone wants the badges, they refuse to cooperate because people ONLY want the badges. not to work together…

I think the reason why I don’t play the main game (I play killstreak only) but the reason is because these new overpowered gloves just are tooooo much for slap battles. Most of the new gloves need to be severely nerfed for balance. Maybe even removed or a huge nerf to the cooldown. These are my options tho, but I’m just tired of these overpowered gloves that are almost uncountable.

They should make more stuff like tournament I have 2 idea a prop hunt and a boss fight

fun fact: i soloed eternal bob with tycoon, after the minions phase, all guys died, but i was alive, i was able to kill bob, i was lucky that all meteors was close to me, but i alr had Rob. so i got clipped wings

i kinda wish they added a bigger map like ability wars for an example

Man, I feel like Slap Battles already had its golden era. I mean, sure, they can still get tens of thousands of players actively playing, but it's just not like the old times. I used to be part of the ogs. Back in early-late 2022, whenever a new glove came out, me and my friends would try so hard to get them. I remember us spending hours over hours trying to get Rob, only for one of us to get it. I miss those old times, and I usually have a lump in my throat when talking about this. I know this is kinda irrelevant to the video, but I just want to tell you that Slap Battles isn't dead, but its peak has passed, even though they revived it. It just won't be the same.
