Thank you so much for these words of encouragement! 😀 I recently got hired as a 3rd grade teacher for this upcoming school year and I finished my first day of school rules and procedures PowerPoint. Lining Up to Leave The Classroom is just one of the many procedures I have for my classroom. I want my class to run smoothly. I know I have to stay consistent with my procedures in order for the kiddos to understand how the class operates. I thank God for this opportunity and look forward to continuing to impacting the next generation as a teacher! 😀

I have watched so many of your videos today! I am SO THANKFUL for you taking time to share. You are adorable, and kind, and such a great teacher. I have a teaching degree but stayed home to raise three kiddos until I was able to (wanted to) go back to work. I just got a job as a 1st grade teacher at their school so I'm cramming before school starts! You have been such a blessing!!!!

I think line spots are way easier than seat arrangements. Oh. My. Goodness. There is not enough room in my room to separate the kiddos that need to be separated. One year I had 9, yes 9, kids who had preferential seating in their iep or 504! What the heck! It makes me crazy! My room is not big enough. You are awesome! I love your videos and I have recommended them to new teachers who I mentor. Keep up the great work!

You have some great names for procedures. “Firstie for the Week”, “learning spots” I’ve done number order when it has been needed. But I also pick a “secret student” that I watch for perfect line behavior. If the SS achieves, they receive class cash. You are precious! New subscriber! 😍

Am a kindergarten teacher and I have my students to pick an alphabet from the bucket and they go in line from A-z or where ever it stops. The alphabet are mixed up every day. I do this for ELA going to lunch and then we will sing a so g about lunch. This helped my students that were struggling with identifying their letters. Also do this with numbers doing my math time before they move to their specials. Once they learn their letters, and numbers. I go with sight words.

Thank you for this tip. During my team's summer team planning meeting, my team discussed this for our 7th & 8th graders. We decided they will form a line by alphabetic order and we will practice this.Students never get too old to have line-up procedures!

I teach VPK. I choose a line leader, caboose, and door holder. I then line them up according to the color of their shirt. I also do two lines. Boys and girls

Once again you have an amazing video! I learn so much from you! Do you have spots on the carpet for their feet to stand on so they know about where to go - or do they just know (this is regarding when you line them up by month or shirt color, etc. and not everyone is in line yet for their reference point)?

Hi there, I found your channel yesterday and I absolutely love the tips and brilliant ideas that you have!! I am not a teacher yet but I am working towards my degree. I work as an assistant right now in a structured Autism classroom. I plan to teach general education either Kindergarten or 1st grade. Your ideas for classroom management and expectations are absolutely amazing!! I feel my college course are not preparing me for when I have my own classroom. I am not learning any of the things that I actually need to know that are going to make me a great teacher with a well functioning classroom. So I was looking on KZread and found your channel instantly and I am grateful because I am learning so much!! You are all around an awesome person and I absolutely love your channel!! 😁🥰
