I know on the outer piece and the batting you cut an inch longer and wider. But on the fold inside parts I understand an inch longer, but how do you determine the width of what will be the inside flap?

Awesome Dianne, you can do it. If the book is much smaller you might want to reduce fabric allowance if they are turning out to bulky 🤗

Thanks so much Valerie! Yes you could, it just might make the cover a bit snug. Maybe do a tester to make sure it will fit or add on 1/4” to the measurements.

This is very nice, but I would do a whip stitch to finish it off. Very nice though.

Hi there, you can always make smaller if it is too big, by sewing next to the sewn lines 😊

Will the batting move around if you don’t quilt the cover fabric before you add the sleeves? (Love your tutorials! I’ve already made 2)
