If we can afford it, the sure having that sort of knowledge and defense capabilities would be more pro than con but I think we have a lot more problems here in earth that have a way bigger shot of crippling society and the planet. Every 2 years, they practice through simulations, and create new simulations, to learn what they can. The reason why it's coming to everyone's attention Now, is because they are now more capable. She isn't completing her sentences, properly, possibly due to being nervous while being interviewed, knowing that thousands of people are going to see this.

We need to make it easier for everyone to become engineers

We actually would be using asteroids for mining, so if one came our way, we would find ways to slow it down for asteroid mining. And asteroid mining / space mining is coming. Also check my other channel on Graphene and Quantum Technologies, use the 2 simple steps on my channel for my other channel. We are going into a time where technology is accelerating so fast, that we can't keep up with it.

First time we have been technologically capable. When scientists speak about times like this regarding the human species it's not specific. She probably mean "this" as like in the past 20 years or so.

@@robertmarquez2767 ...Even if it doesnt hit there is said to carry iron oxide in its trail, this "dust" is whats gonna fall to earth n make us all sick (eventually). They are lying about the virus in order to have us stay inside, and not create end of days panic. Stay inside just incase friend.

Maybe for an asteroid / comet on trajectory to hit earth, could have one or more crafts fly along with object and keep pushing it away, acting like a shield.

Tony38G You gotta use critical thinking here. Why In the world would the “elite” do that? It’s like in the movies were the super villains plan is to destroy the entire planet to rule over it. It’s pointless. Plus colonizing the moon and even mars would most likely fail without some terraforming so it would just be a death sentence.

One important question that was not answered in this interview is whether it is possible to calculate the impact location. If we were able to accurately measure the trajectory of an incoming asteroid, And we know exactly where is going to hit the Earth atmosphere is it possible to know where on the surface it will land?

When the end of the world is actually happening its just gunna be a massive meme

There has been an increase in sitings of meteors and actual strikes in the past decade. Nigeria got hit by a meteoroid just recently in March.
