I do the drive from Phoenix to PV a lot. Take 3 1/2 days of leisurely driving. Stay in San Carlos, Navojoa,and mazatlan - all beautiful cities with nice restaurants and bars. A great drive.

Thanks for giving us this video. I always wondered how long it would take to travel. And I agree, I would definitely go during the week. Doesn't seem like you ran into too much traffic at all.

Saltillo is a Chrysler factory 🏭. Ramos Arizpe is a GM factory 🏭. 🏭. San Luis Potosi is a GM factory 🏭! I went to Puerto Vallarta one time. Will go again. I used to live in San Bernardino County, California. I moved to King County, Washington in 2014. San Bernardino County is near Los Angeles and Riverside. King County is Seattle.
I live in pv too nice vid
Thanks for all the info. Can you tell us- did you pay the tolls in peso? Also, I noticed y’all were loaded pretty good- any concerns about searches??
@VallartaLife
Жыл бұрын
Yes they only take pesos. The only place they might search you is entering the border from US to Mexico
I am getting ready to drive from Michigan to queretaro, do you have any tips?
What is asked when crossing the border both ways? And where do you get pesos when you get to mexico
When u cross to Nuevo Laredo is there a check point to leave Nuevo Laredo before u run into 1st toll. ?
Just here to read the comments
Interesting clip . I want to do a road trip from Dallas to Monterrey. I think it would be safe.

Your heading into Cartel Land be careful to avoid crossing someone's backyard, best to do the scenic route..
Hello! The gps is taking me over the international bridge of the americas 1 . But I would like to know which one. is safer and better Thank you 😊
Gracias Hermana! What about Houston, Texas to Yucatan? Do you take tolls? How do you get pesos prior to traveling?
❤
How much was your gas?
thanks for the Video. i have a couple questions. Is the gas cheaper than in texas? is speeding enforced?

Yes gas is cheaper. What I've seen about $1 cheaper .. I've seen people drive faster than the sleep limit and they don't get pulled over.. I guess it depends on the officers there.
Have you ever bought an IAVE pass for tolls from Oxxo? Thinking I'll buy one for our trip driving to Chapala.

We bought one when we went to MX City but It was a hassle to activate etc.

It seems from more current video's on this subject it's more dangerous now as of 6/24. How is it now from Dallas to San Miguel de Allende? Thanks! I'd drive alone and I'm not quite so confident now..
Any important hints-information you can give us Canadians leaving from Ontario, Canada to PV? Driving our own vehicle? Is it safe? What Ins do we need? Any other pertinent information? Thank you CARIN and AL

I drove from Ottawa to Cancun. Don't drive at night, follow Military Convoy's if possible. Pay for gas with small 50 or 100 peso Bills. Bring a Steering Lock from Canadian Tire, make sure your spare tire us full size not a temporary. Have you lug nuts lubed slightly, practice jacking your car to replace a tire yourself and fast. If you breakdown out in the middle of the boonies your an easy target for a kid high on Methadone to rob you.

Quadruple photo copies of your Drivers License, Vehicle Ownership, Insurance, VIP from MTO so they know you OWN your Car you cannot cross easily with a Car with a loan or lease on it. Same goes for your vehicle Registration Serial Numbers on the Cowling and Inside Door, and your License Plate you need to provide these when you cross in order to obtain a 6 month 180 days Vehicle Permit. The Tax you will pay and Permit will NOT allow you to sell your Vehicle it must return back across the border, however you can renew your Permit for an additional 180 days once at the USA Mexican Border without crossing into the USA.
Can I cross into Mexico with a lease car?
Hello we are living in puerto Vallarta and taking a drive to Houston, do you guys have safe route back to Nuevo Laredo?

How did the trip go? Do update charges for tolls as well and how you obtained pesos for tolls?
Ok so we have a question. Right when she got to the 2nd toll booth, we can tell that she was a little nervous driving as if she saw something. Can you tell us what made her look so nervous?
@oneproudchump8457

She probably got nervous not having the right amount of change to make the toll. This used to happen to me a lot. Sometime you don’t want to present a big bill either. A psychological thing. People get nervous thinking if I show them I have a lot of money I might get assaulted. It’s best to have about 200 pesos in 20 (paper) pesos.
Oh also, is there food along the way- and are hotels east to find?? We are from Ft Worth
@VallartaLife

There is gas stations and some have food or a small restaurant like subway attached. I recommend staying at the big cities along the way with decent hotels
@saywhat951

You'll find some of the Best Food all along the way, especially in Small Villages. You'd be pleasantly surprised how many small Villages have small Hotel's. Remember purchase a steering wheel lock, these are a great deterrent for young kids to steel you vehicle.
9:02 Se dice que mientras mas al Norte de Mexico te vayas mas PNDJS son para manejar. Ahi la prueba jaja Buena info que por San Luis P. sea mas seguro porque por Zacatecas vas nervioso todo el camino 🥴

What is the process for bringing a Mexico plated car to the US as a US citizen? How does it compare to bringing a US plated car to Mexico??
@VallartaLife
Жыл бұрын
We haven’t had any problem driving into US with a Mexican car. We say we live part time in Mx and in the US and they don’t ask much questions. A US car needs to get temporary permit at the border that is only good for 6 months then need to be renewed.
@vidalvalle4119

no problem to have a Mexican Vehicle in US as a US Citizen, just keep it with insurance. And well tuned !!! They run great I have been in DFW area for 7 months and no problem. Bring a US plated to Mexico is a sign for money for the cops! they will stop you to check papers, keep you there for a while, then let you go. AND YES got via San Luis Potosi much safer !!!!!
Are the paytolls cash only?

Your plates are from Mexico or USA? Because if those were from USA yous should be pull over many times as far as I know.

Crime rates are high so you are brave people to go there and are all major roads tolled?
I hate to hear there are still places requiring masks. Crazy.

Even during the pandemic, it wasn't mandatory. So don't be panic about that. Now in the USA people starting to wear masks again.

Keep in mind that villages in other parts of the world do not enjoy the level of healthcare that we have. It's always best to respect that. Choice of healthcare is a personal decision
So you bought a car in Mexico , Of course that's why you feel safe , it's a Mexican car .

It is a little different being a gringo driving alone through mexico than if you speak the language. Much different. So I cannot use this info.

In Aspirating, a journey from Texas to Mexico from Mexico notwithstanding El Salvador gingerly facing various toll polls, the woman starts off with a hidden conversation "about when arriving to the destination she is going to smear these people with chlamdia which is an illness brought on by the nastiest people when dead, a toxication, a friend of theirs Agrifina will be doing the honors." A pair share driving time to their spot, stopping at a tequila store, the scenery is beach bum..An experience that holds you back in your seat..20-493 Ysleta del Sur Pueblo v. Texas (06/15/2022)
Hi. Why do you have so many tolls on the highways in MX?
