@@tytoalbasoren9457 in kit’s flashback she was in giant mode the whole time. It’s probably more likely that kit came around the corner and saw her. Which rivet wouldn’t have noticed cause for her she wasn’t there at the time.

@@JRayPG, it also could be how Rivet stated that “the door was right there”, implying she was so close to opening it that she was focused on getting it finished as she thought she would soon be quickly done. Because she thought she’d be quickly finished and just tried to end it by opening it quickly, she didn’t look behind until last second when it was too late

See this is the kind of emotional investment and reaction I wanted to see out of Ratchet after Deadlocked. Alot of people don't know or realize that in Deadlocked, Ratchet was essentially forced to kill people, and most of them innocent people who were kidnapped by Gleemen Vox just like he was and forced to play in the Dreadzone games. In one of the comics they touch on this, that he essentially has PTSD from those events, and it marks why Ratchet's attitude about "being a hero" goes from the jovial enthusiasm of the first trilogy of games and changes into a sense of duty and maturity for the rest of the games in the series. I just wished they touched upon this in the main series and not just in some side comic.

@@samueljones3668 Sadly not very likely, the reason Deadlocked was even made was Halo was popular at the time and Insominac wanted to cash in on the "darker tone" scifi that was all the rage back then. Now it's kind of the norm. Also, I don't like remakes, I think when something is made it's made by the time/era it was made in, and should be allowed to stand without fear of being "remade", which always to me comes across as "it was flawed to the point where we have to do it again and replace the old version with this new version." and the best a remake can do is live up to the old version. I would rather continue on with their plot but have elements of the past revisit and potentially haunt ratchet/clank et al.

I noticed how at 6:03 it looks like her arm is in pain. Amputees have “phantom pain” where their brain thinks their limb is there but it isn’t and it hurts. Love that extra detail.

@@chillguynamedwan1034 well. Every other character has a counterpart. Clank and Kit. Phantom and Skidd. Emperor and Doctor Nefarious. Captain Quirk and Quantum. Rusty Pete and Pierre. It makes sense that Rivet is Ratchet’s counterpart. Heck they even mention it in the game. Rivet mentions that if she’s ratchets counterpart and kit is clanks counterpart, were her and kit meant to be partners

Female lombax doesnt have tail, but she have, maybe she was from lombax parallel dimension, and maybe there is another rivet from rachet dimension

I love how kit actually is scared of herself once she cuts off rivets arm, and how much pain rivet was in. It makes her character seem more human. Even how she blames herself for everything or how she think of herself as a broken bot and a horrible partner. And I see why she blames herself because she knows she cause so much suffering to others and she just want to keep the ones she made suffer safe. I know this because I have been in her shoes.

It can make the process SO MUCH easier as directors can give notes on scenes and artists can edit them in real time at that moment. The Mandalorian is the best example of what's to come! It's all in Unreal Engine

I love how Rivet and Kit's meeting parallels Ratchet and Clank during their first meeting so well. Ratchet and Clank weren't immediately friends. Ratchet even hated and felt betrayed by Clank after a mistake he made. Ratchet didn't want to trust Clank and his decisions starting at that point. It took the entirety of the first game for the two to be on good terms with each other. While he was defected, Clank was made to be a warbot. He was made to be against Ratchet. Yet somehow, the two still formed an allyship. It's the same for Rivet and Kit. The start to their partnership was rough. Rivet had a reason to hate Kit. She felt betrayed by her for trusting her. She had every right to. Kit was a warbot, made by her enemy. As hard as that was, though, the two came around and became the duo they are now. Man, this game was well done. Made me feel nostalgic if I'm being completely honest.

I'm saying that it is _impossible_ for people to purchase a PS5 at a reasonable price since the scalpers (especially on eBay) want to gain more monetary value than the actual price of the console. I absolutely agree, scalpers are scum, and companies should do more to try and combat them. It definitively was impossible to get one because of them for a while, as well as price point by most ebay scalpers being totally ridiculous, I've seen people trying to sell it for 900-1000 pounds when it's usual cost is half that. Hopefully you find one eventually though, I checked online and whilst I currently can't even justify buying it at normal price range, have seen some sellers selling it close to initial price rather than at hundreds of pounds over.

I like how people theorized that she lost her arm duo to some Robotic Virus, that changes biomatter into metal (and yes this is an actual thing in the Universe of Ratchet and Clank games). But in the end she simply got badly injured... And before more people come around while being blind: No, Kit didn't "completely blast Rivet's arm off." Rivet still has her right arm when she's running away in that Flashback. It's just limped and she can't move it.

I think people overestimated the developers' willingness to reference the series' history. I got the impression that starting in the PS3 era, the devs wanted to move the story away from the narratives from the PS2 era, and the retconning of the first game in the series seems to be evidence of this.

@@TheCursedCat1927 No. Rivet’s arm was completely removed when you look at her running away from Kit in the flashback. I can guess that either Rivet’s arm was incinerated when it was caught in Kit’s eye beams or it was so badly burned that it basically fell off as Rivet tried to escape.

Kit is like the Iron Giant. Only travel size.

Because that's how it was. She didn't get her arm blasted/cut off. It was simply badly injured, so she decided to replace it. The KZreadrs make it seam like the arm was cut off by Kit, because of their stupid Video Titles. Because one person said something, and it just went forward. Even Rivet says that she was injured and decided to build herself a new arm to replace the damaged one.

@@MegaDynamiteDan What's interesting is that Kit isn't an alternate dimension version of Clank, but rather Clunk from Up Your Arsenal. Clank was made by Drek, but Clunk and Kit were made by their respective dimensions' Nefarious and both have the same giant-super-bot transformation ability. It's honestly a really cool callback where a character who was originally a boss now has a different dimension equivalent whose an ally.

I cant wait to own a PS5 one day to play this game. This series does it right. If your game formula isn't broken, just add onto it.

Yeah, honestly ratchet and clank has stuck to it’s gameplay for a very long time. There has been new iterations into the game series that have been fantastic over the years, but I think they’ve really managed to polish up the experience

@@Jr-shiungHu yeah and I know why there not many good games anymore Like in the 1980s arcades and video games had to be good or they won’t sell or make video games history Same with the 1990s Same with the 2000s If you released a unfinished game your company is bankrupted such as ET for the Atari 2600 or superman64 unless your Sega which gotten lucky twice Because the release date is the most important part of a game to keep the company alive one bad game basically means the company is forced to improve and listen to complaints or get bankrupted quickly or a slow and painful death 2010s changed that thanks to Online and god dam updates and bloody seasons this is why the people who made cyberpunk2077 is still alive somehow or how Bethesda is somehow making fallout 76 a terrible game sell and even worse mobile games can put no effort into there advertising or the game and still earn money somehow Like the only games I played in the 2010s was indie games such as undertale Hollow Knight Celeste Minecraft Among Us Witcher 3 Five Nights At Freddys I can go on for a while with indie games it’s the only reason why a PlayStation 5 exist or the Nintendo Switch While the only games I played in the 2010s made by companies is Doom Mario Odyssey Zelda Breath Of The Wild and Saints Row 4 that’s about it because they release the game unfinished and then say it will all be fixed somehow and games are constantly delayed or have god awful online like GTA 5 online made me hate rockstar as a company because it’s not GTA anymore Like Nintendo is horrible with online just like every other company the only online games I play is Team Fortresses 2 or Left 4 Dead 2 because valve is the only company that knew how to make online games and basically stopped making games because steam earns them so much money that’s it’s pointless for them to make half life 3 The list goes on Why video games are terrible in 2010s oh yeah trying to make kids gambling with loot boxes and focusing way to much on realistic graphics like realistic graphics pretty much means the game will look way to much of the same or make the gameplay way to much of the same or make game development miserable or take way to long Ok I’m done at least Insomic is the few companies that make the best graphics possible and still have a great game with a good story

Love how Rivet says Ratchet told her to forgive Kit. She just emphasised that she only considered this because of Ratchet and isn't ready to do it.

I think this happened very few times in games and i'm sad about it

This game was so heartwarming and had so many ups and downs. For example, when ratchet met rivet and clank met kit for the first time I genuinely smiled. Then the scene when rivet found out the truth ab kit I was jus like “wow.” this game is definitely worth a buy ! I don’t wanna include any spoilers but if you have the chance to play it please do

It's impressive that the game has better animation and detail than the actual ratchet and clank movie

The story between Rivet and Kit is tear jerking. Especially for Kit. At 8:20, when she tells Rivet "I am not a good partner", it made me tear up. That and when she said "I am broken". She isolated herself on Savali out of fear of "hurting" people and the guilt she has over hurting Rivet. Even when doing good deeds thoughout the game she still thinks about. Love how they became partners in the end. God i need to get a PS5.

The Emperor built Kit to be a defensive robot to defend his property. So naturally he going to be afraid because he knows what Kit ow capable of.

@@mrdude88 I just had a feeling that it might be something more between the story of the Emperor and Kit. When Kit was charging at him, he pretty much gave up. And in the final battle he orders the other robots to keep her away from him.

@@lag00n54 Actually Deadlocked was more of a Death Game / Madworld type thing, and the weapons in question are Ratchet's two robot partners, Merc and Green.

Damn. Imagine being partners with the one thing that took your arm and you had no idea the entire time. Can't believe she didn't break down from PTSD right then and there.

Ratchet is still in his Deadlocked suit.

Actually in this video he is using the captain starshield armor (the same guy who dies in the deadlocked intro)

Rivet has such a cool backstory and a great design and personality. Great way to to a female protagonist.

@@flareblade2143 It stopped being the Kids Game when "Ratchet and Clank: Future" PS3 Series started. Ratchet got older (as the "Future" Series was happening a couple years after "Ratchet & Clank 3") and things got actually serious.

@@hankhill2254 To be fair, the "killed but brought back" is a kind of death that can happen in a Kids Game and it will still count as Kids Game. Difference here, is that with the "Future" Series, the Games became noticably more serious about what's happening.

Oof..That hurt for Rivet knowing that Kit was the same one who took her arm. But hey that experience sure made her stronger though. It's a good thing Rivet Is still alive Props to the game designers for giving her emotion there

I’m surprised Clank never had a moment to speak with Kit. He’s a warbot with a similar defect if i remember correctly.

Clank is a production error made on purpose by Orvus

Some folks seem to be missing quite an obvious parallel between Rivet and Kit to Ratchet and Clank. Clank suffers an arm injury at the end of the first game, and Ratchet repairs him at the end of the original R&C1. But in this alternate universe, it's Rivet who suffers the injury and it's Kit who is responsible in a different way. Not to mention that Kit and Clank were both war-bots, one defective and one not, ect. ect. this really is the type of story that writes itself. I can't say I'm the biggest fan of multiverse plots. I was quite content when they were just physical comic books (Marvel Ultimate/New 52). But now everything these days has to be a multiverse, from Ratchet and Clank to Bayonetta it seems.

Best graphic details I have ever seen in a videogame! impressive

This game could have been a whole movie. I'm glad it's a game but it just goes to show how solid and fleshed out the story is.

Damn...this actually pulled at my heart strings, I feel so much for Kit...I need to get this game, im impressed with just this clip of the story.

Rivet feels pain in her robot arm , that’s called phantom pain. The brain can still feel the missing arm there.

God both Rivet and Kit deserve so much better. Kit is technically a jailbroken drone who finally gained consciousness and free will outside her programming. At the same time though Rivet never got to heal from the scars her once normal arm wielded and it is annoying that Rivet blames Kit when Rivet was the one who ran and got infected.

Yeah Rivet was pretty unreasonable here, its been clear that Kit was programmed initially to be a killing machine, now she has full sentience to control her own actions. As you said shes jail broken, I get that Rivet still has PTSD from losing her arm. But you're in a world were robots have feelings and can be overrided to be whatever their creators want them to be. Kit explained that but, game needs tension before the big battle.

@@samueljones3668 idk about you but if I was Rivet and lost my arm because of Kit, I would be angry too... scared as well. Like... even if I knew that Kit didn't do it on purpose, she still did it... subconsciously, your brain would always remind you that "hey, she's the reason why you don't have your arm anymore" ...to me her reactions seem reasonable, especially given that she's still not over it and has PTSD

ngl i really wanted her arm to be lost to the biobliterator. That way the grudge would be even deeper, And she would be the last remaining relic of "empror" nefarious's attack (I'm guessing he had a biobliterator haven't played the game so idk)

8:18 This part where Rivet got upset at Kit kind of reminds me of how I accidentally took out my anger on a childhood friend Cody. I called him and told him maybe we shouldn't be friends and other stuff I don't even remember, and I wanted him to comfort me, but instead he blocked my number... I learned my lesson though of being careful of what I say. The crazy thing is he liked Ratchet & Clank too and shown me it on his PS2 when I went to his house when we were kids. Also, I can sound like Rivet at times too.
