The saying "red herring" means something that distracts you from what's really important. Like in a mystery story when the detective finds a clue that seems really valuable, but ultimately is not. Join our detective on the case of this suspicious saying, as they uncover an old story about training hunting dogs with smelly herring fish. You guys really shouldn't drop a dozen videos at once like that. It means anyone who's subscribed to you will have their entire feed full of just your videos, which is annoying and makes people want to unsubscribe to prevent it from happening again.

One of my family names is Herring! So my ancestors were involved in the fishing trade long enough to acquire the surname...but there's no insight for the phrase in family lore😉

This was a poor video Weird, mismatched visuals and terrible pacing. These could be shorts.
You're not totally wrong, just too narrowly defined. A red herring is anything that sticks out like a sore thumb. By your definition, you'll never evaluate just how sore your thumb really is. In fact, you'd avoid it, and never see a doctor about it, or even try to take care of it yourself. You assume too much by the examples you use. In other words, All oaks might be trees, but not all trees are oaks. Other examples can also be red herrings. Take off your blinders. So, taking a look at your own sore thumb, you should be able to recognize that this is ONE way that stereotypes get formed. Repetition can help form both good/bad habits.
