I legit pack two pairs of clothes and then I get limited to 5 books because my mom knows I read really fast but last minute I throw in an extra five without them noticing only to run out of books to read (if I read I can read like 3 thick chapter books a day)

I went to the Bahamas for a week and I had a backpack and a carry on suitcase filled with books. I was stopped by TSA because they couldn’t see through the books. And they also thought that my Switch was a bomb. One of the only reasons I left my hotel room on the trip was to buy more books from the gift shop. I came back home with 9 more books. It was a good trip.

Haven't watched the video, but I already now I'll relate in some way.

OMG this is so relatable. Last Year i went to greece for 5 weeks and i brought 20 books with me. My whole closet in our caravan was full of books and i almost had no space for my clothes anymore. This year i am going to go to the netherlands for 6 months and i have no idea how to bring all my books to the netherlands. I just assume i need to buy some new books while i am there. :D

I can relate to this video on so many levels.

I went on a vacation in Florida with my extended family a few years back. I had to buy another suitcase while I was there because Borders was going out of business and everything in the store was 80% off. I didn't know they were going out of business and they would have been closed down if I waited to get back home to Texas. I bought 17 books and to this day it was one of the greatest decisions I have ever made.

I think the bye Chu on this video is my Favorite by far 😂

I always bring an "Emergency book" when I'm out on a trip, also an "Emergency! I finished my emergency book" book 😄

I have literally done this so many times it's not funny. I almost threw a tantrum when my mom wouldn't let me take Clockwork Angel with me on the plane...

I'm heading camping this weekend, and then on a different trip on Tuesday so this is very useful.

I definitely get that "I HAVE A SUDDEN URGE TO REREAD MY FAVORITE BOOKS" on vacations, and then I need to rush home so I can read them. I usually pack at least 3 so that I don't run out. XD

I’ve done this but on accident. I swear, it was actually an accident. I brought two books with me intentionally, but when I packed my purse in I forgot about the two books that I constantly fit in there (in case I get bored while I’m out somewhere) so that made 5 books, and then I also had my kindle which had three books at the time. 8 books for one trip

This is one of the reasons I'm happy e-books exist. You can basically take all of your books with you on one little device! (Although I still love having physical books don't get me wrong.)

100% relatable! I'm going on vacation on monday and I started a list of which books to pack 4 weeks ago. And of coures the list is constantly changing and growing!

Am I the only one that didn't relate that much?, when I go on vacation I'll do a lot of stuff I don't always do like going to the beach, zoos, museums, trips and all that stuff I don't go there just to read with a different background. But maybe its because I haven't hit that phase, haha. I still think it can be relatable if ur in the middle of a reading period or in the middle of a really interesting book or series. Nice video, do u recommend reading the six of crows books?

Totally relate! /my sister always makes me chose only two or three books, although she thinks I should bring only one. One book is not enough for a trip!!!

Charlie OKeeffe Unless you don't have one or don't like reading on it. xD And sometimes, it sucks when you're reading outside with a kindle because of lighting. (Like when the sunlight suddenly flashes off your screen and in your eyes while reading)

21ChemicalAtTheDisco they aren't expensive tho, if you travel frequently it makes sense to own a kindle and I hated reading on it at first but honestly you get used to it :) also the new kindles have anti glare screens so you don't really get that problem any more

Okay, I know I'm hella late. But I just need to get this out Mom, dad. Yes, I am going to bring multiple books (maybe like 50 or so) and my laptop/iPad for audiobooks with me on the trip. Yes I am most likely not going to end up reading said books. But NO, IT DOESN'T MEAN I DON'T WANT THE GODDAMN BOOKS ANYMORE. I JUST DIDN'T FEEL LIKE READING ON THE TRIP, AND THE ONES I DID READ SATISFIED ME WITH SUCH GOOD ENDINGS OKAY!? IF I SEE YOU WITH A GARBAGE BAG NEAR MY BOOKSHELVES. I WILL BE USING BLOOD TO PAINT THE WALLS.

Reading all the comments made me feel a little more sane about my book packing, I usually only take 5 for a week holiday and 3 on a weekend away and end up reading most of the books (it's extremely satisfying). But it's so hard picking which ones to take, I can so relate to that and the part about bringing your old favourites!

I just got back from a week long vacation and can 100% relate to this! I brought two books for the car ride there, a book for the beach, a book for bedtime reading, and two books for the ride back home...I had the heaviest duffle bag.

Every single time I go to my grandparents for a few days, I bring at least 8-10 books. And every literal time I will end up completing only one. I'll make some progress on others, but every time I tell myself while packing "Maybe I should just bring one book" I think "What if I finish it ahead of time?" and bring my entire bookshelf.

I always put my books in my carry on since there's no weight limit and on the way home last time TSA told me to to remove my laptop and any other electronics from the bag and gave me a strange look when I told him there was no electronics in there, since the bag was so heavy. He started laughing when he saw all my books though. Gotta do what you gotta do :P

This is so me like even if I go to a weekend trip i pack a bag full of books because I never know if I want to continue reading the book I'm currently reading or if I want to start a new one... It's so complicated😂

This is so so relatable. I've narrowed it down to bringing seven books on an hour long road trip but yes almost all of those thoughts.
