I disagree on mctominay playing with fred because mctominay doesn't have the vision and the passing capabilities I think donny would work fabulously in rangnick's system because donny is press resistant, he knows how to press and likes to pass in between the lines and he's a good ball carrier

"McTominay has better passing range & vision than Fred" - Joke of the year. Even Fred is average at best. But both players play better IN A TEAM with proper structure/system. Like a Henderson at Liverpool. Not an exceptional passer or defender, but good attitude, work horse type.

@fab jon your right mctominay has better vision and passing range but fred has the tenacity, low centre of gravity that helps him move around the pitch and can press. In my opinion fred will best suit rangnick's system and fred and donny will be my midfield. But there's a chance that mctominay will develop into that midfielder that we all want him to be🤷🏾‍♂️

I see VDB playing over McTominay as he carries the ball high up the pitch, has good 1 touch, 2 touch passing and is a pressing machine

@@DMaskedBoyGaming Mctominay is technically poor and is not press resistant. Time and time again he gets exposed against top teams, even Elneny and Partey dominated Mcfred last season. Reality is that we need a proper CDM and until then Fred is the better option than Mctominay. Mctominay can't even get into Scotland's midfield while Fred plays for Brazil first team over Fabinho and Allan. Don't forget Fred had top pressing stats last season. Mctominay is known to play safe back passes, same with Shaw and Maguire. I see Lindelof and Telles starting over these two. Lindelof is the best ball playing CB at the club right now. He is quicker than Maguire as well. Fred and Donny would be Man Utd's Laimer and Sabitzer.

I cant believe Rangnick would ever pick McFred. He would see VDB's ability almost straight away. Thats if he isn't already aware of his ability. He has just as much energy as Scott or Fred. But he also keeps the ball even under pressure. He is a much better ball winner than Scott and his passing ability is miles a head of the pair. VDB is perfect for a 4-2-2-2 pressing system.

Ffs, not more McFred! Undoubtedly a new midfielder will be brought in to co-habit with v d Beek. And with a manager like Rangnick, people like Garner, Hannibal, Shoretire, Elanga, Amad and Pellistri will probably develop into viable options - as can Mengi, Tuanzebe, Williams, Laird...

When it comes to Ronaldo... he doesn't have to be a high intensity presser... his role in the pressing system could be just to cut off passing lanes and the others around him can do the bulk of the pressing, that would also leave him in a bit of space so once the other players have won the ball back he will be more open. Couldn't be happier with Ralph coming in as interim but what excites me more is his consutancy role after. He can use the 6 months interim role to build a system and get the players on board, then he can help get the right manager(ten hag) to come in and have players ready to play his way, plus he is brilliant at finding players, mostly lesser known targets, who will come in and fit the system On paper, the future looks very exciting

I believe Mctominay should be replaced by Donny He can then be used with Matic in the FA Cup

Would love to see him bring in Konrad Laimer in January. Tactically versatile, could play RWB or any position in centre midfield. Hasn't been great since coming back from a bad injury but makes it more likely RB would sell.

So refreshing to get a manager with a clear philosophy and eye for detail in the game from “I don’t get into the details of things it’s just about getting on the end of things and who wants it more” what a bum of a coach we had for so long. Not only will Ralf implement a style of play but his eye for talent is second to none which means when he goes upstairs we will have a suitable replacement in a manager and smart transfer business.

Van de Beek know how to press, always look to pass forward, as well as press resistant. He should occupied first on one of the two deeper midfield slots. Between Mc & Fred, both like to pass sideway and backward, with Fred slightly better passer forward than Mc, and is a pressing machine. So I think Mc would be relagated to the bench.

The first job of Rangnick is to fix the leaky defence and improve set-piece situations. As he said, 30% of goals are scored from set pieces. That does mean you have to spend 30% of your training time on set-pieces.

VDB is one of the worst players I have ever seen in a United jersey. I don't get the hype. He is awful. I am being dead serious. He struggles to stay on the field bs the Premier League competition. He looks overmatched

honestly, why are you shilling for McTominay? he's clearly not been good. besides like 1 or 2 games which were both against Leeds. but I am willing to give him another chance under Ralf, because I also think that he hasn't been coached well. his strength - height, - stamina - Work rate weaknesses - passing (able to hit occasional Long pass, but misses often basic short passes) - Positioning - defensive awareness - tackling (bunny hops) but to be fair, his weaknesses can be coached. but still, he keeps playing when he's clearly not good enough ( at the present moment, and hasn't shown any improvement, only time he has shown them was against Leeds, and when he is more forward, as he can get an occasional goal. )

This guy lost me at "destructive talents" when describing McFred...

He was literal with the "destructive talent" as in real destructive talent. I seriously don't understand the United fanbase any longer. Look at the sort of players that we praise. I ain't saying that McFred are useless but they ain't good enough for the starting eleven and probably not the bench, I would consider Fred because of his pressing and defensive awareness and also his forward passing potentials but Mctominay is just a Harry Maguire in Midfield, no awareness, sluggish on the ball and clueless for most of the game. He does try but he is like 5 mins out 90 mins of good performance. The media use our brains like vodoo turning us against our better players like Ronaldo, De Gea, Pogba, Rashford, Martial, Bailey and soon Bruno and Varane for the sake of players like Maguire, McFred and so on especially with all the clueless pundits whom are just there for the shillings and not the reality of football. If united plays football according to nearly half of our fanbase expectation, we could be a 15th position fodder club.

I know. Not expecting much this season ! Just hope the style of football changes.

McSauce, the ultimate sideways pass merchant, is set for the chopping block. Interesting that Carrick had him passing forward much more against Villareal, with VDB to cover his mistakes. But there were far too many for me, he is risk averse and wastes 10 mins per game sideways and backwards passing. VDB needs to replace McSauce's number 8 position and Fred needs replacing by Bissouma (If he has release clause or Rice (In my dreams). I think AWB will see himself replaced in 2022 summer window my Max Aarons or another. AWB had his chance, but just cannot do anything past the halfway mark. Why didn't he do a Beckham? Stay after end-of-day for another 2 hours self-training?

You need to have a good CV otherwise they will ignore you like PSG players are doing to Poch right now. I hope I am wrong but I don’t see what he can offer these players who have come from great clubs and won big trophies. Ragnick hasn’t done that as a player or manager. So I don’t see how he will earn their respect.

@@user-fe7xw6tw7b May be you haven't watched how Rangnick likes his team to play. He likes to play high line and emphasizes on forward passing. Maguire can't play in a high line bcs he hasn't ever played in such a team and he easily gets exposed against high press, just watch his performances against Liverpool. Rangnick won't park the bus against LFC. AWB has got nothing other than sliding tackle and may be pace. I hope AWB proves his worth as he is young unlike Maguire who is going to turn 29 soon. Maguire is not the sort of CB Rangnick would pick. Bailly and Lindelof are better suited for Rangnick's team. Varane is perfect CB for Rangnick. Shaw would either prove his worth or get binned as Rangnick is very strict with player diet etc and will expect his players to be disciplined. He might make players follow Cr7's diet.

Not suitable for Bruno Fernandes but very useful for Rashford, Greenwood, Sancho, and Ronaldo. But I am not optimistic for Ronaldo because of his pressing style. Neither Messi nor Ronaldo is not a good presser. Not even Neymar or Mbappe. Pressing is very important when you're playing under a German coach.

Excited and hyped to see Ralf Rangnick as Man United Interim Manager! He will make such a significant improvement to the Man Utd squad.

It's good to finally have an experienced tactician at the helm, someone with a game plan that the players can buy into and understand exactly what's expected of them. It'll be very interesting to see his first few games and how the players react to his style of play.

As a Leeds fan I am very excited tactically, seeing him & Bielsa, the 2 biggest influence's on modern football in the same league is very exiting, and with so many of their disciples like Pep, Klopp, Tuchel and Hasenhuttl also in the league I think it'll just make the games all the more exciting. We really have the best coaches on the planet, now working in this country from various backgrounds and carrying varying idea on how the game is played, it's going to be interesting to watch and study.

If the system/style of play is introduced through all our squads I think we'll see youngsters displacing some current first-teamers relatively quickly; they're more capable physically and more open to accepting new methods than some older heads.
