Gyles Brandreth who has written at least 3 autobiographies for the late Queen and Prince Philip did a lot of research as well as interviewing Prince Philip directly, and came to the conclusion the rumours were not true and he had been faithful to the Queen throughout their marriage. I think the press were basically needing stories. There's so many rumours about another couple (I won't say because I don't want to add to the untrue gossip) that have been proven to be false. It's just the media. Need to take it with a grain of salt, they have papers to sell. From another point of view, you could see the absolute grief and devastation of the Queen at Prince Philip's funeral, I doubt that would be the case, particularly to that extent if he had been unfaithful. She also did not outlive him very long, as seems to be the case with most genuinely loving elderly couples. When my Grandma sadly passed away, my Grandpa was completely independent, healthy and living in his own home. He only outlived her by 3 years. It's very sad.

You and me both, girl! He was breathtakingly handsome and so manly and virile! He never lost his looks, either. He hated giving up polo because of his injury, and he took up carriage driving in his later years. He also dated a lot before he and HMQEll were engaged and all the ladies whom he took out said he was a perfect gentleman, very intelligent, and had a great sense of humor. The queen never looked at another man and I don't blame her!!
