I have built my channel organically, and I get contacted every other week by companies who want to promote my channel or help it grow. Ultimately, the best advice I can give any of these smaller channels to grow, is to promote it yourself. That means, promoting it on forums, facebook, instagram, and whatever else you can. Don't spam these places, you need to get in and interact, and you will find your audience. In the end if you are making quality content your channel will grow, but there is no real short cuts unfortunately.

Not as far as I know on KZread, but you can on Facebook. When you upload a video you get asked if you want to 'promote' it, and you can pay an a mount for it to come up in a certain number of feeds.

I'm from South Africa and used Promolta to promote a video of my child who has a rare birth defect and can only get treatment in the states- hoping to get quality views of people willing to help us raise the funds for the expensive procedure. To think I wasted close to $300 of money I should have kept in my daughter's medical fund!! Can't believe it! But so glad that I now know that it's just a sham.

That's so unfortunate. Best wishes to you and your child. You definitely need a lot of quality promotion to raise money for treatment in the US - as far as I know it's one of the most expensive countries to get medical help.

I'm curious to see what happens next. Apparently Fluff is on tour at the moment, so I don't expect him to do anything in the nearest future. I think if they do not react before NAMM starts (and obviously they become super busy) that might count as them ignoring the issue. Before that I can only assume - in theory they may be already doing something about that behind the scenes.

Yes, adwords is a way to go. The trick is that cost and efficiency directly depends on how good you are at using adwords and targetting. For me it's still a bit too complicated. That's why I hope one day some service will appear that will be simple and efficient.

Very Informative and mirrors my experience! I don't blame Glen & Fluff. I believe they wouldn't of noticed the bad sources due to it getting lost amongst there already large amount of traffic elsewhere. I just hope they hear our experience and address it in future videos.

That's because their views are either fake using a vpn to use ip addresses from other countries or they kinda outsource the views to people there and give them some virtual currency on a worthless website

Yeah, I tried this service once and it didn't take me long to realize it was shady. I actually privated that video temporarily until the promotion was done after I realized this because I didn't want to do anymore damage than I already had. Also funny enough, your experience at 7:57 also happened to me except without any Content ID blocks thankfully. My video "This is Halloweeb" somehow managed to get selected by KZread to be added to some auto-generated playlists that it had no business being in and got a ton of dislikes because of it. Eventually I think they did remove that video from those playlists.

sir honestly I appreciate the work you have put into making this video, but I believe you can improve audience retention in your videos by improving audio quality and making video a little less boring...try modulating your voice a bit

Using Promolta, one of my videos have reached 5,188 views, four days later it went down to 4,318 views. How views can decrease??? There's definitely something dodgy going on!!!

Not quite. Some may provide genuine promotion. Like, large groups in social media may offer posting your stuff for a fee if your content is relevant to what a group is about. Nothing wrong with them.
