Professor Green aka Stephen Manderson is known for his multiple chart topping songs throughout the years but there is so much behind each and every track inspired by his rocky upbringing, to say he has faced and overcome adversity to reach where he is would be a real understatement. He was born and raised in Hackney, growing up on one of the most notoriously troubled council estates at the time. He has won a number of personal battles ranging from health trauma and poverty to parental abandonment.

He's not comparing the level of violence, he isn't comparing anything really, he's drawing a relation to the unprovoked, spontaneity of the violence, which was a lead-in to his follow-up question, "what is the lesson here, how do you avoid these situations?".

He was saying he saw an older friend get stabbed when he was 8. So it wasn't something he was unfamiliar with. He was older when he was in the club and got stabbed himself.
