The Pringle chip teleportation reminds me when I was younger and watched 'How its Made' for peanuts, and I swear to god me and my brother got annoyed when they basically skipped the part of what method they used to open the shells/remove the shells because it went from "Roasting the peanut in the shell" to then the nut itself being on a conveyor belt and the shell just missing and no explanation on that missing step.

Reasons for concave shape- advertising, stability of crisp, easier to remove one from tube. There are probably other reasons too!
