How Powerful is WALMART?

Walmart shocks me everytime I come back to the states by much it dominates every other retail store.
It is the World's largest company by revenue ($480 billion/year) and by far, the biggest store I've ever been inside of. It literally has EVERYTHING and ANYTHING you could ever need at a very cheap price.
In this video, I take a deeper look at Walmart's success story from its beginning in 1962 in Bentonville, Arkansas by a guy named Sam Walton.
Do you like to shop at Walmart? Or do you prefer any other store to buy your goods?

I only shop at Walmart when I'm in traveling on the road like in Texas or Virginia for traveling stuff. It's really hard to go to the Walmart here in New York City because they're so far away that I have to shop online and get it delivered to my house. Nowadays I just buy tires from Walmart and that's it I just use my local retail stores near my area

I used to work for Home Depot. I had two stints with them. The first time around, I was a seasonal associate for summer 2020 so they let me go after the summer was over. The second time around I did have vacation time and sick time. I liked working there. They do treat their employees well. I even got two raises in my second stint there. I left in November 2022 because they cut back my hours. It was my first job and I do recommend it for people looking for their first job. As long as you don't get hired on a seasonal basis you will have benefits. There's no union at Home Depot but they do take care of their employees.

I gave up Wal-Mart over a year ago. I found myself buying items I didn't need and unnecessarily standing in long lines. I now shop local. While it cost a little more it is far cheaper in the long run because I am not buying all the extra!
