Have you seen the Marvel DC Crossover done by John Byrne back in 1995 called "The Hunger"? We get to see them fight!

2:53 - Meanwhile, Donny Cates: "Actually, it's all a lie. He's just the rogue herald of another cosmic entity that consumes universes". Then has said cosmic entity destroyed when Thor turns Galactus into a bomb. Nothing's more irksome than to have a guy who thinks the best way to retcon a character's history and backstory, because it might contradictory whatever ideas they may have, is to say "it's all a lie".

Not necessarily, Galactus is known for many of his incarnations, with different scenarios in each universe. For example, on Earth in 1616, he is a bunch of beetles created by an alien civilization That is, this is a more conceptual level, the fact that in 616 he is the herald of another black does not negate the fact that he is the embodiment of hunger and he has a purpose

this quote is probably one of the best ones I've read in any comic and you guys are talking about Galactus's dump... anyway, i don't think Galactus even "poops", I think it's more likely that all that energy he transforms it into his multiple powers. Remember, he transforms planets into energy and then devours it, so there's technically no useless to poop out since he's always active and wasting that energy

In the 70's, and 80's, Galactus was this unstoppable "Entity of the universe". Then, I noticed that somewhere around the 2000's, they seemed to... depower him quite a bit. They even had him get eaten in Marvel Zombies. That would NEVER have been able to happen to the 70's and 80's Galactus.

There's Elder Gods, Celestials, grown up Franklin Richards, Phoenix Force Hosts, Infinity Gauntlet users, Eternity (the personification of the universe itself), Lord Order and Lady Chaos, Death, etc. The point is, there's a lot of cosmic deities who are above Galactus in the cosmic universal totem pole. Again, that's only talking about characters who are stronger than Galactus on the universal scale. There's of course characters like the Living Tribunal and the One Above All who are infinitely stronger than all of the aforementioned characters combined.

THIS VIDEO IS SO WELL MADE

Galactus is one most widely discussed and debated fictional villains of all time and I was pretty sure that I'd read everything there is to read about him. But this might just be the best analysis of him as a character that I've ever seen. Fantastic work.

The heat death will literally take more than decillion years. That's more than enough time for humanity to conquer the whole multiverse.

I wish this video also brung up that by choice gelactus limits himself to just planets as he has possess a mechine that could absorb galaxies for him and also when transported into the dark dimension he consumed everything there, as he was drunk on magic. still a great video on my favourite comic entity

I'll repeat my post here which explains this question: The bottom line is Galactus always limits himself . He prolongs his existence by doing so. Only 'The One Above All' has a higher purpose than Galactus. Galactus' function : 1) To consume the entirety of the multiverse (including his other multiversal selves). 2) die 3) Release energies upon death to cause the birth of a new multiverse and a new Galactus to form (usually an entity from the previous multiverse). 4) Repeat this function throughout eternity.

Nope. Galactus actually uses his energy to cage Abraxas. Abraxas is like Zeno on steroids and psychotic like the joker. Abraxas with a wave of single wave of his hand destroyed 98% of all Marvel's omniuniverse. Abraxas wants to end all of reality.
