Ultra low profile tires and oversized wheels are more prone to pothole damage.

That is what she forgot to mention.

Unfortunate that so many new cars have such low profile tires and huge wheels. I think the benefits of better ride quality and durability from a taller sidewall are more beneficial to general consumers.

@@flurpoid General consumers don't prioritize practicality. Looks are what sell cars, and people like the look of big wheels, which is why all newer cars have gigantic wheels.
Potholes are every driver's nightmare. I had to replace two lower control arms, sway bar linkage, cross member brace, and ball joints on my 06 Acura TL last year. Cost me $1,700 to replace. Now I need struts and tie rod ends, not to mention tires replacement every four weeks because money is tight. Houston, Texas has the worst potholes ever that I have to dodge them all the time when I drive

One broke my wheel bearing. It sucked. I had to drive home and park it.
A pothole broke my front wheel bearing. That was not fun. I try to avoid them when i see them now. Unfortunately, sometimes you miss them.
We have plenty of these in Melbourne, Australia.
I can see why air suspension is getting implemented is because it helps contain the vibrations between the tarmac and the chasis.

They also cost a lot more vs conventional suspension. In essence another way the manufacturers get to steer you into buying a new car when it does eventually break while out of warranty 💸
I miss Pat. 😢

Try Chicago they’re worse!😖
RIP me living in Montréal
Potholes can be added to death and taxes. And waiting lines.
Drive on Kingston Ontario roads to really get the pothole experience 😂
Ukrainian potholes are impressive too. Especially in small towns)
While all good advice and good information, you forget to add that the size of the rim and tires can be a factor in tire and rim damage.
👏👏
My wife hit a pot hole and it ripped the exhaust off the car. Destroyed the catalytic converter. $750 later it was fixed...
👌😎👍

Check this story out LOL, my wife hits a pothole and ripped the oil pan off of her car. Had the car towed back to her parents house and she fixed the car herself! 😂😂 I'm a car mechanic, I do this s*** for a living and instead of her telling me what happened she puts the car on ramps gets up underneath finds the oil pan is damaged, then orders a new one and siliconed the new one and let it sit.. she's back on the road!! She said she didn't want to tell me to get me mad and she was excited that she fixed it by herself lol it's been 6 months and it's still not leaking 😂 be careful then potholes 🤣🤣
Audra Fordin is the replacement for Pat Goss!
