No joke, this is why I've always had a rough relationship with my dad. He turned EVERYTHING into a life lesson or a way to make money. I was 5 wanting to watch cartoons and draw. Did I really need to worry about buying my own home at that age?!

Yeah my folks pulled this on me for the final time when I was 14. 12 Years later they wonder why I don’t talk to them, don’t do anything with them, and why I keep it all to myself.

this is so true this one time I was talking to my mom about riku from kingdom hearts and how I like his character development and how he goes from the dark side to the light side and instead of just saying that cool or something or switch to a different topic she turns around and give me a lesson on how spiritual warfare is like what riku went through and I just stood there listen for like 10 mins think I don't need this lesson I already know this.

Nah this is insanely accurate my Dad did something similar to me & my bro back in 2010 when we were tryna watch game 7 of the NBA finals. He didnt turn off the tv but he made us mute it. It was over something stupid concerning the washing machine (turned out it was something my mom did) man i was pissed
