I'm a home owner and we built. Reason being building will not come with the pressure to clear money owed in the process but I would definitely buy a home in the very near future. Whichever way, it's you to decide but if you get bored easily, please buy. It's easy to let go of such a house, no attachments at all.

About what you said about friendships, I feel the same, as Virgos I think we feel we have to make people around us feel happy so that we can be happy at the cost of ourselves and it slowly creates resentment within ourselves which leads to the lose of friendships.

As for me i would find my dad no matter what.people are different and its good for closure just to know who he is not even get anything from him but just know who he is.

I think you should find him, but remember things could go either way. You could get some answers but also he could also use and misuse you for who you have become. On the buying or building your home I'd advise you to build, you get to express your creativity and ideas to the fullest, you don't have to compromise on anything in terms of what you want, you will get all the quality materials you want yourself, in contrast to buying where you don't know whats underlying the finishes and the design might not be to your full satisfaction.

Hey Nairofey, over time, what I've learnt about friendships is that we have to know they can be seasonal too and perhaps we get into them with a forever mindset, whereas when a season is over you can't just force things.So, yes it is okay to fall out.On communicating, I used to be like that but with some inner work I learnt empathy and nowadays I ask myself before ghosting, would I like to be treated like this? So when a friend calls, and I don't wanna talk, I text and let them know what's happening to manage expectations.Also, we need to stop expecting us from people, we are such diverse humans and nobody can fully tick our 100% friendship goals, coz we are perfectly imperfect. Well, my husband and I bought our first home in 2022, now here's the thing, apart from the pricing if the house there's alot much more charges afterwards(like mob tu, in our case there was like more than 1M additional charges)...that was a lesson learnt so we built another home last year it cost much less and even much bigger than the one we bought... I'd recommend that you do your due diligence before buying a home...or rather buy land and build a home of your liking from scratch..All the best with all this♥️

Building your own home is better. You can customize it to your design. It's also cheaper to build than buying but only if you have time to be on the ground.

Am now married and have three kids but I traced my dad's home(our home)and finally through God's will we met our uncle's last year and our other siblings. We are happy together now. At long last you are using your own finances to do all that even if you moved every month. Secondly, on looking for your dad, had it been me i would definitely look for him but with an open minded mentality. Incase he denies me, i would assume i never found him and carry on. If he recognizes and appreciates me then a different life would start from there. So yes try look for him but prepare yourself for any outcome. Alll the best in that if you ever go that route. 😍

I parted ways with my dad when I was so young... so when I got older around 22 yrs I looked for him and I really thought he didn't want me but apparently he tried to reach out to me but my mom could not allow that... plus any issues between parents should not affect any bond with the kids... so find him he might want to see you...

The fact that the thought has crossed your mind, I'd suggest you look for him if you can..... Though don't have any hopes whatsoever, because it can go both ways... You can find him and He might be uninterested in you.... You should be ready for this. Ama... It can be the other way round... You will never know until you try. Also, even if you get rejected by him, you will not be at any loss. Atleast you tried and got to know the type of person he is!

Story about your Dad, mine left and married another woman, he doesn't send any fees and only calls my working siblings to ask for finical help. I am not saying that yours will do the same but I think if he really wanted to be in your life he would have come to you when your mom passed instead of just going just like that, if they had issues with your mom it had nothing to do with you, mostly the youngest sibling, she needed her parents the most. For your dad's manenos you need to be emotionally prepared for whatever outcome will be. If you are not ready then give it some time as remember it will automatically affect your siblings, especially your youngest sister. Sorry about your mom. For the house you need to ask yourself what your goals are - like do you want a Taylor-made home rather than building which can be cheaper but also labor intensive in terms of getting a location to build can be a challenge. If you buy it will be more expensive but the work of dealing with construction manenos like contractors, suppliers of materials, materials getting stolen, etc will be eliminated. Ready-made homes are available in all sorts of great locations. Really the answer lies with your goals - whether is for income (rent) or a dream home where your hubby will also have his input. I remember a friend telling me that is important to investigate the areas you buy to know how it was used before purchase so that you don't get plots or homes in areas with spiritual challenges, etc. But again if your faith is strong this need not apply. If it were me, I would definitely look for my runaway dad. Even if he ends up still denying to be part of my life I will be contented and at peace to know that I did what I could do to have a relationship with him but he's the problem not me. At least I would have answers. I feel like it's way better to know. So yes Nairofey, go find your father. If he agrees to be part of your life then you might find the missing pieces of the puzzle of what happened.
