Bharat needs urgent implementation of one nation, one policy, one police system.police dept in all the states should be autonomous and independent from the state govt. Misuse and abuse by police should not continue any more.

Atleast we should have a National Central Crime Database ( if we don't have it), & make every state police upload into it mandatorily, so that cross border cases of Crimes, & missing cases, can be solved fast

Sabse phle develope a system where a constable can become go upto a rank of DGP. Reduce the politicians control Increase the salaries and police personnel.

Lack of police reforms is a causing friction between centre and state 1) police is a state subject 2) it is governed by 1861 police conduct code which is then made to serve the interests of Britishers 3) it is structurally design to favour the Britishers. 4) sometimes, state police vs state police tussle is seen. Ex Punjab police vs Delhi police 5) sometimes co ordination between state on zeroing in on the criminal accross state become a cumbersome and complex process 6) police have to work average 14 hours a day. No distinction of daily working limit in police 7) supreme court have given direction about police reforms Which includes, appointment of DGP in fair selection, fixed working hour, policing employees and investigating employees should be distinct. A minimum of 2 year be served in an area to a sho level officer without transfer

Shifting all power to center can also be Dangerous but powers should be dividing among central police and state Police
