Hm. I don't think the age gap is weird at all. My parents are 12 years apart, they dated for 5-8 years before marrying. It's fine that people have their opinion on age gaps but they are human and if they love each other then they love each other. Also it's just shipping, it's not like they will make a second movie or a series where these two will end up together.

@@Stanley_Hart yep. If I remember it correctly, they only started talking to each other when they went to someone's wedding when one of them is around 18-20. Then after awhile they would send each other letters for years and after a while they agreed to go on a date. My dad then proposed to my mom on the first date ;-; Mom said no and he has to court her first. Parents said yes. My mom got pregnant with my sister, they got married early Edit: idk if this is information will make any difference but our age of consent on their time was 12 and above. They only changed it to 16 and above at 2008?

Ok, Its an opinion from a random from internet and surely nobody will see this comment but, for me, if in "Zootopia 2" the directors decide to confirm this famous ship or just you like this relationship like me I don't think that this ship is wrong and not for reasons like "love is love and the 8 years apart between them doesn't matter" or that "my parents are x years apart and that makes this acceptable" ¡No! Because a pedophile, with that logic, can say that same things ¡No!. For me, this ship is kinda cute and justified by the differents interactions between the characters, also and more important, they are at the same stage in their lives, they work and settling down, they are both young adults, it will be diferent if, for example, Judy was 18 years old and will beginnig to train as a police officer and Nick was an established young adult of 26 years old. My mom and her 3rd husband had an 11 year age gap. What is this huge deal with age gaps? They are consenting adults, and it is none of ANYONE'S business what two people do. Seriously throughout history most of the time the man was older than the woman because of security. Men often had the ability to get assets for a family and when marriage happened it was to better the family as a whole not just the two getting married. Most marriages were decided by both fathers and those people loved eachother AFTER the marriage. In modern times we marry for love, but the love fades hence the ever increasing divorce rate. This has been shown. So again, tell me why does a 24 year old and a 33 year old mean anything? Most men prefer younger women and most women prefer older men, this is somewhat even biological. Even then, they see each other more as friends and probably even almost family like siblings. People will ship who they want all the time. This is just dumb.

As creepy to most as that is, it means nothing to anyone else as long as they are both consenting. It is no business to the world what to consenting adults do. It only is a problem if one is creeping on the other in an unconsenting way.
