✏ Nun Veronica shared her story of joining St. Elisabeth Convent. On April 4, 2023, on the 6th week of Great Lent, Metropolitan Benjamin of Minsk and Zaslavl, Patriarchal Exarch of Belarus, tonsured nun Veronica with the new name Basilisa in honor of the martyr Basilissa of Rome († c. 68, commemorated April 28 according to our style) at St Elisabeth Convent's church of St. John of Shanghai and San Francisco.

Coming from a Mennonite Protestant background I can appreciate the difference Christian traditions. After all these were the first traditions before the reformation. It’s too bad that there has to be so much back biting from both sides. I’m taking the time to look into the Orthodox Church to see the similarities and differences without being so critical. There definitely is something very beautiful about the more ancient traditional practices of Christianity..👍🏽🙏🏽❤️🩹
