Started working from home in March which was way before the date I planned to actually quit. When I lost my job, I went into complete panic mode because I didn’t know what to do; I didn’t have many clients and my shop was only getting a sale here and there. Then I found your channel which helped me so much with getting organized and setting up systems to streamline my processes. My business is growing slowly but steady and for that I’m truly grateful. Thank you Latasha for sharing all the gems with us 🙏🏾💕

I'm so glad my content has been helpful! Congrats on your business 🙌🏽
I started using cold DM’s on LinkedIn consistently about 2 months ago. I try to remember emails I hate to get and do the total opposite. Thanks for the freebie tip and videos. Will definitely be trying!

Awesome, how is LinkedIn working for you?
If we think in a positive way, those emails are a great learning experience as you said. But seriously, that example is exactly what you shouldn't do. Valuable recommendations as usual, Latasha!

Thanks, Harry!
This was a phenomenal video!! Thank you Latasha :)
This is a well timed video! Haha I have started building a small list of potential clients to cold email in the coming weeks. I will definitely try to add video to them! Most freelance clients I’ve gotten so far have been through networking.

Awesome, so glad it came to you at the right time!
Hey Latasha! Sorry, this is unrelated to this video, but I had a question and didn't know where else to go to ask you 😂 Question: How do you determine that a client isn't for you from the discovery call?
Thank you!
Well done. Well done.
This is such great advice Latasha, thank you. I struggle with writing emails and this is valuable to me.

@@thelatashajames Thank you! Your videos offer insight and development information every time. They've been a great investment of my time.
Beautiful way to start the video off and mitigate some people's thoughts on what your aim/intent is (well-worded). Great example as well and always a pleasure to simply listen and learn from you and really liked the suggestion of first "offering a compliment." That's definitely a great ice-breaker and segue into what the goal is. Wishing you all the best and two thumbs up on this one!

Email marketing is something I do for my business but not particularly something I enjoy. Thank you for pointing this out about cold emails!!!👍🏾

I don't love email marketing either to be honest! Glad you enjoyed the video!
Thank you so much for this video!! I'm a bit on the awkward side, lol, so you giving a concrete example is great. I've just started looking into SEO as a possible side hustle/career change and this sounds like a great way to stand out from the basic pitches that business owners probably get all the time. On another note, do you think the success rate of an SEO pitch would've been even higher had they specialized/were passionate about your niche specifically? From an outside view, it appears that all SEO experts kinda do the same thing, so standing out seems difficult.
We receive lots of cold emails in my business and honestly, only a few are worth reading. Thanks for sharing these valuable tips, Latasha!

I absolutely LOVED this video. Definitely taking a second look at the way I send emails. What would you put in the subject line? Not sure if you’ve already made a video on this, but how would you go about going to businesses in person? How would you introduce yourself/pitch yourself etc.?

@@thelatashajames Thank you!
Cold emails are not part of my business strategy but these are some really great tips! Thanks! 🔥
Everything you said is good - only exception might be offering something free. After sending 1,000,000+ emails, have found to be more straightforward on what you’re after in emailing them. The free thing can work - but use depends on business / industry and target audience. KD

Yes of course it depends
I feel like the only thing worse than getting those cold emails is the cold DMs...they seem even less personalized and more copy-pasted 😬 personalizing it - and like you said, adding a name - can really go a long way! No one likes to be treated as just another row on a spreadsheet 😅

Yep... DMs are usually the worst! 😆
I've received a similar email but didn't take it seriously because they didn't address the email to me. It was something like Hi as well. I also found it interesting that they didn't include their own website, so I could take a look at their work. Needless to say, I passed on their services.
