Most people are very grateful and supportive of the financial, political (varies depending on who sits in office) and military bonds we have with the US. But 15 years ago we had an almost magical admiration, trust and respect for the US as a whole, their way of living and their culture. But this has really faded over the past decade or so. It has gone from something magical that almost everyone did admired and wanted to visit to a bit of a mess that no one wants to talk about, but everyone has some sort of loaded opinion about.

I’m sorry but I deadazz thought about 50% of the population had a cowboy hat, rode a horse, owned a ranch or farm, and or had a pet goat. I blame TV. Every American cowboy came from Texas. Every place with a farm was set in Texas. Any person with a southern accent and love for country music came from Texas😭

@@DestinyTries okay I don’t blame you. I definitely blame TV/ books (any Texan book character set in any other state has a southern drawl or wears ridiculously large belt buckles). But I want to set the record straight real quick: I have never ever seen someone ride a horse as means of transportation(pleasure, sure, but not out of necessity), I see the occasional horse or long horn from the street but on pretty small land and that is definitely the minority of the population (also consider that I live in a pretty rural area; not like Dallas or Huston or anything), and I have never seen a desert or anything that looks like one, but the rumors of it being ridiculously hot here, yeah those sadly aren’t mistaken(to prove my point, it is mid May and was almost 100 degrees today). Anyway, sorry for that long rant, but I find it kind of hilarious how everyone else sees Texas compared to how a Texan sees it, so I wanted to get out my thoughts. Consider it your free guide if you ever visit someday🤣
