Jokic’s numbers are crazy, because when he scores less its not because he can’t score more its because he discerns in that game that the most optimal role is that of a rebounding and facilitator. He doesn’t care about stats he just cares about playing whatever role will expose the defense then he goes all in (in that area)

Edit: To those who missed my point if there is great defense there is also great offense, Jokic offense was greater than Rudy that night, we have seen amazing offensive players absolutely crush defenses, case in point Steph when he is hot defense cover, close outs, hands on his face it doesnt matter that ball is going to swich the net doesnt matter how many DPOY u throw at him. He averaged 28/16/9 against the lakers this playoffs but he didn’t cook?? You can’t take away rebounds nd assists nd say they don’t matter when they’re apart of basketball. Ppl make it seem like he has empty stats when everything he does contributes to winning.. hence that championship last year nd didn’t the nuggets sweep the lakers otw to it😭
