I stop a lot, I've changed tires and jumped cars. And even given rides to towns. That's just who I am! When I had a blown tire and I couldn't get the lug nuts off. I sat there for several hours, before I got help! And that was 25 years ago! You two are the best 😊

3 reasons people don't stop; 1) most people have cell phones (unless you are broken down in an area with no cell signal) 2) fear of getting robbed 3) most people don't have any tools and figure they have nothing to offer

Exactly. Also, the person having trouble may be fearful of who's stopping not knowing if it's to help or ill intent. In our rural area people usually stop and they probably end up knowing each other. lol

I was an ASE certified mechanic for years and, honestly, I’ve stopped a number of times, but been successful in reviving modern cars? Not so much. About the only thing I usually can offer, above & beyond a ride or a cell call, is plugging in an OBD II dongle and telling folks which expensive part (that’s not available out in the middle of nowhere) is needed to make the car run again…🤷‍♂️

40 years as an over the road trucker…. I used to stop a lot but with the advent of the cell phone (unless it’s an area with no service) and the over abundance of crazy’s out here I no longer stop. The odds of getting robbed are just too high, or some chucklehead deciding to sue you for damages just cause he’s been taught that trucking companies are filthy rich and now he’s got all the info needed to put in a false claim

Gentleman, your generosity & authentic effort to aid others, was heart warming with a light touch. Up North you assist the group & give out HF gear. On the way back, an effort to give (that falters) , but then back home, giving to organizations that aid those without. Your work, spirit & style, was outstanding. No hits though S of Scipio - I was on that route, driving back from Boulder weeks ago. Glacial Valley, remnants, as you drive through. Thanks for the video!

So much that can be said about the generosity that you and the other utubers and Kip show. As far as people stopping to help, I think that cell phones have lead to a big decrease in people stopping since the ones that are in trouble probably have already called for help.

What a lovely idea for a video! Although I live in a very densely populated country (Netherlands), I have rarely been stuck next to the side of the road with car trouble without someone stopping and asking if I needed help. I've traveled all over Europe and the U.S., and I get the impression that the further from urbania I needed help, the more likely people seem to be to help out. Granted, I usually did have whitewater kayaks on the roof rack.

Anyway we talked the other day and he said he stopped to help some people who ran out of gas. Long story short the guy that he helped found out that he was from Utah and said he grew up in Huntington Utah. My son laughed and said me too. The guy said he lived on center street y son said me too the both grew up just a block apart and 35 years apart. I knew him but haven’t seen him in years. Great content keep up the good work. And don’t give up on people. I have had people stop to help me. There really are some good people out there.

I have broke down A LOT!..What's interesting to me is almost every time another Subaru driver usually another modified Subie has always stopped to see if I'm good. What's funny about it is almost every time it was someone i only knew on social media and that would be our first actual meeting. The Subaru community here in the PNW is amazing, we are a team. SUBIE NATION FTW

You guys are awesome. I normally run a Volunteer Vehicle Recovery Service where I help people that are broken down on the side of the road and can't afford a tow truck whether I tow them on a trailer to the repair shop, hook up a tow strap to pull them somewhere safer, or just repair their car and get them back on the road. Unfortunately due to finances I'm going to be homeless as of next week and my truck and my backup truck are down. I have a full time job but I can't keep up

I forgot who did it, but they had a vehicle with a frunk. They put a grill in the frunk and it was smoking like a over heated engine. When people pulled over they gave them a hot meal

The problem is modern cars. Used to you could fix an old truck with a hammer, screwdriver, and bubble gum. But now you need a $1,000 diagnostic computer to diagnose the cars computer to figure out which computer needs replacing. Great work helping others!! Awesome video!

Back in the late '80s, early '90s I had no choice but to drive crap vehicles. EVERYTIME I broke down someone would stop to help. When I turned 21 I got my Concealed Handgun License ( and reliable vehicles,FINALLY😊) which gave me the confidence to stop and help others. Once I had a family traveling along with me I had to be a bit more cautious but would still stop in the right situation. I think most people nowdays assume everone has a cell phone and can help themselves. If I'm out in the boonies I'll still stop and help. Being stuck out in the middle of nowhere SUCKS! My buddy and I were headed out on a jackrabbit hunting trip and came across an LARGE family in a broken down crewcab Ford pick up. We were in a standard cab Dodge but stuffed everyone except the grandpa in (and in the bed) with us and took them to town. The grandpa didn't want to leave his truck unattended. Just as we were about to leave him I though, "we have about a zillion guns in here, I should leave him with one." You could do that kind of thing in Orygun back THEN. So I walked back and offered. He said, "thanks, but I already have two." I replied, "well according to the anti-gunners in this situation we should have just had a shootout with each other up here!" He laughed. A few years later my family and I went to a fourth of July party with my best friend's family. He is a Deputy Sheriff in the county where we took the family home. When we entered the back yard where the party was I heard someone yell, " hey, it's our hero!" I looked around to see who the big hero was and this woman half ran up to me and gave me a big hug. I didn't recognize her but she quickly explained to everyone what she was talking about. That was a good party, my kids thought it was pretty cool.

A guy from the city I live in Vancouver BC, called into the radio station and they let him broadcast that he needed help at the location he was at… he had 10 vehicles pull up and help him. 3 were mechanics 😂👍
