Honestly the new Prado is in itself a great product but Defender is in a different league all together in terms of styling, performance, road presence and most importantly in terms of aspiration and brand value.

In nepal🇳🇵🇳🇵there is more classic land cruiser like.. 79 series 80 series j100 series and a 1996 toyota hilux. These vehicles are also popular in government numberplates. Same goes for scorpio as well.

@@rishitsinha8041 From the inside too. Paying 60 lakhs for that Fortuner with that 20 year old Innova interior is a ripp of. Ladder frame chassis comes handy only if u live in a jungle or if ur a farmer. On highways even the new Scorpio would bear the Fortuner.

Land cruisers is land cruiser. Before land cruiser, defender had 90% sales in off-road segment in Australia in 70s . However with introduction of land cruisers , defender % went less than 5

@@akritbehera7751 land cruisers have lots of value. A second hand fortuner might sell for same as a second hand land rover. Unless you keep on living under the curtain of land rover brand name , the very terrible reliability, lots of gimmicks and lots of maintenance will make you go towards land cruisers . Offcourse this will take years to happen. Also the main reason for Indians to buy costly suv is to showoff, in that case land rover may remain king. Australia being a vast tough country required a functional though vehicles which are land cruisers and definitely not land rovers

In Bangladesh Prado is the most popular car for rich people. It is comfortable, have soft suspension, durable can last 30+ years, not grate in off-roading, petrol version is underpowered.

Tum dekho, Toyota LC ka itni demand hai ki Toyota LC ka waiting 4 years tak ja chuki hai yaha tak ki Toyota ko booking band karna par gaya, Toyota LC ke liye log 50-60 lakh extra dene ke liye tyar hai, yaha tak 2nd LC ko 2 se 2.5 cr dene ko tyar hai log, tum thoda research kar lo. Lekin Range rover ka delivery to 1 week me hi ho jata hai, aur range rover ka resale🤣🤣🤣💩

Range rover kabhi bhi Toyota ya toyota lexus ka muqabla nhi kar skta, range rover luxury jaroor hai lekin duniya ke sabse jyada unreliable ghatiya bhi hai🤣 wahi Toyota aur Lexus Duniya ke sabse jyada reliable hai😊

Saudi Arabia / UAE me Prado starts 36 lacs INR. It needs to be manufactured in India with high localisation to keep price low. Prado ko CKD/CBU route se laake negligible sales hi hogi. Aaj tak Indian roads pe kitni prado dekhi hai? Lived in NCR for 17 years, family from Kerala. Aaj tak India me bas 4-5 baar prado dekhi hai (mostly Delhi embassies ki)

Finally man, you're calling it Prado otherwise rest of the youTube is calling it Land Cruiser.
imma keep it simple. JLR having expensive cars and horrible reliablity, defender clock around 150-200 units a month. Whereas for fortuner owners this is an upgrade for them(maybe from prado next to LC300). Around 3000 units of fortuner is sold monthly even if 10% of these buyers can increase budget cus its better upgrade for them, that 300 units. Yes defender wont be destroyed but either market will be shared or be overtaken by a small percentage(for defender)

Well I don't think Prado will sell to Toyota expectations in India... Bcz obviously any guy spending up of 1cr will go for the Land Rover badge... And that is very much evident in the Indian Market... Even when LC200 was for sale in India clearly Range Rover nd Mercedes Benz were more on the Indian roads considering their more or less similar price bracket...

It's mostly cause LRs are cheaper than LCs but more expensive to maintain, the buyers here aren't supposed to be long term users.
