Dear Jake, I'm so sorry to hear that you passed. It's crazy because I resulted positive for Lyme a year ago and I'm still waiting for bartonella's PCR blood test results. I'm not scared. I'm a little scared of course but I know that life is wise and terrible things happen but also precious things happen to, like your amazing contributions. And or people that recover! I'm so sorry Jake's mom, but thank you for having Jake, who lit the path for other people affected by these pathogen. Rest in peace Jake

So true!! I 've been trying to attack this thing too linearly- I was classifying my symptoms of Bartonella and Lupus- to see whether my immune system is under or over reacting- but .....the sad truth is it is doing both at the same time- focusing on bart first and hoping my lupus will chill out.

  • @BartonellaBabe

Yup the sad truth is it can be doing both at the same time! We also tend to think of the immune system as only depressed or overreactive. I think it's more accurate to call it screwed up! Lol but actually not 🥴 one of my BLMDs sees a lot of Lupus with bartonellosis so hopefully treating the Bartonella will help your Lupus go into remission ❤️

First of all thank you so much for sharing. My own story has so many parallels with yours. I was on doxycycline for acne for 2 years before getting sick from lyme and co infections. I noticed you said the pain got significantly worse after going home, I know this may sound far out, but has your home ever been tested for mold? MCAS has such a tie in to mold and if this is still aggravating your already sensitive system you may need to get out of there. I could be totally off or maybe you already looked into this. Anyway sending love and prayers to you, this video was super helpful. :)

First of all, you are one smart cookie! Secondly, I'm so grateful I came across your channel. I'm 62 yo and have had Fibromyalgia/CFS, hypothyroidism, IC along with several other "maladies" now since I'm young. I'm currently seeing a 2nd Neurologist (getting appointments is like pulling teeth) and I think he is on the right yrack. He will be doing a Small fiber Nerve biopsy next month. Hopefully, it might show some Mast cell stuff if that's an issue. EVERYTHING points to me having Histamine intolerance. I have already started a low histamine diet and taking Quercetin. I'm weaning myself off years of Tramadol. Trying to get off meds that will trigger histamine. Do you have a set low histamine diet that you use? Im having trouble being creative. Seems I ate a lot of histamine foods!

I like the low histamine diet list from Anita Tee from factvsfitness.com. It’s a great place to start and then you can add foods back in if tolerated. Punch biopsies are not standard tests for MCAS but I do have a video on my channel called “MCAS testing! Everything you need to know” and that will tell you, well, everything you need to know about MCAS testing lol

Thank you so so much Gina. My mom put a reverse osmosis apparatus on her kitchen sink. That takes out all of the minerals (I’m not an expert on this) so you can had those back in in various ways but I have not yet researched that. I know people love their Berkey filters but I don’t know much about those either

I had seasonal allergies, eczema and contact dermatitis as a child and my dad has psoriasis so last october when my mcas blew up as a severe rash (hives, blisters, and bleeding, oh my!) the dermatologist thought that I was just having a really bad recurrence even though I had been symptom free for a decade. I had a sneaking suspicion the whole time that it was mast cell related but I was in denial (even though my seasonal allergies had been getting more severe as my bartonellosis got more severe) so I ended up covering myself in triamcinolone ointment 3 times a day until january when I had a reaction that was causing my throat to swell (not quite anaphylaxis but if I hadn't gone in it probably would've gotten there). ended up starting 2021 off on two courses of oral steroids and just recently got my mcas diagnosis confirmed with bloodwork. it's a wild time

Congrats on your MCAS diagnosis! Well ya know what I mean. And makes total sense that you with your history of allergic symptoms eventually manifests as MCAS. Now if only MCAS researchers would be a little more open to infections CAUSING MCAS, we might get somewhere. They know who they are lol

StillJake...nicely done. Not sure what your deal is with the jewelry, but you might consider a shop on Etsy? Along the same line, many people are making additional fundage via KZread reaction videos, (music, comedy etc.), and I've thought a few times with your sparkling personality, verbose verbiage, loquacious lovely visage, it would be something you'd rock at, might enjoy, and supplementary remuneration is...what it is. Or I could be totally wrong. I usually am. Or maybe "Piperoshush Cujosis" would do it, running canine commentary (Woof!) while watching some doggie videos. :)

I’m only used to reacting to food and medicine 😂

@@BartonellaBabe For example kzread.info?search_query=bill+burr+reaction or search for music reactions, sports etc, a plethora of hits will come up. I'd post a variety of favorites & examples, but don't want to inundate your feed with that. Short version, attractive people with charming personalities, animated faces, good sense of humor etc. post video of them watching "whatever" and others enjoy watching them, watching the videos, plus their commentaries, get enough hits, KZread pays you for the ads and traffic.
