How My SMALL YouTube Channel Got Me My FULL TIME JOB | How To Succeed Building An Online Presence

In this weeks video, I will be sharing how my small youtube channel got me my first full time job out of college. As an educational content creator, I was able to build an online presence that opened the door to my current job as an eLearning Associate! If you are interested in learning how to build an online presence to secure full time positions, let me know in the comments down below!

Who am I? My name is Alivia Brown and I am a recent UCLA Anthropology graduate on a mission to find a career that I love. My major does not have a straight forward "path" as many would say and I am not only determined to prove that I can be successful in my major but also demonstrate my ability to find a career that brings me joy. This is my journey to expanding my global and anthropological knowledge. This is my journey to finding the best career I can. This is my journey to finding happiness. This is my journey to success.

please talk about how to build an online presence to secure positions, it would really be helpful for all of us. I feel that building an online presence is a really strong way to become more independent in any profession.

Can you describe the other aspects of your job apart from the video production or is it pretty much solely that? Also are the videos you get paid to work on by Socratica the ones you post on this channel, or are they a mixture, or not the ones on this channel? I guess what I'm asking is what does a day/week in your working life look like?

Hi yes! I actually do a lot more than video production and am hoping to do a full video on this in the future. One of the things I do is research and write educational videos and courses for them (most of this work is not public yet but it is related to anthropology *hint hint* and I will definitely be sharing it on this channel). I also do work with their Educational Non Profit called the Socratica Foundation. This work includes writing/designing their website as well as running marketing campaigns to get the word out to more people. I also write articles about anthropology & education for the Non-Profit's blog. These are some of the highlights and I hope this helps until I make a full video on this!
