How my acne is treated at the dermatologist!

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

So I've been telling you guys about how I've been going to the dermatologist to get these MAD breakouts treated and I want to be 100% transparent with you guys so, here it is!
I wasn't able to film some of the steps because of inconvenience and also, some of the solvents they applying onto my skin stung SO much that I couldn't even keep my eyes opened.
I do want to mention that these treatments, while they do help with inflammation, don't really do much to actually prevent them nor anything to help with PIH or PIE. I'm sure the exfoliation does help a bit but to be honest, it's nothing dramatic or noticeable in my opinion.
But these sessions are really great to calm the BIG inflamed acne, especially the steroid shots and all.
Anyways, if you guys have any questions or are curious about anything, make sure to leave it in the comments down below :)

Love the content, Soo. Thank you for sharing!! 😁 I’m a licensed esthetician and acne specialist, based on where the acne is located it appears to be related to androgen sensitivity. This acne can also be exacerbated if you’re using a contraception pill with high androgen levels. Not sure if this information is helpful to you, but I love seeing you post about your acne journey!! Keep it up :) 💗

Those treatments look harsh, tbh. The things which has worked for me over the years are tetracycline and retinol. Perhaps it is time to explore oral meds... My friends were on Diane and roaccutance, and it worked for them, but thankfully I didnt have to go down that route. Hope you get your acne sorted soon...I had very similar flare up to yours 2 yrs back so I know how frustrating it can be

I'm on accutane (isotretioin) and it's the best thing I've done for my acne. I tried tetracycline and benzoyl peroxide and it didn't work for me. Maybe the final solution for Soo's acne is oral medication 🙏🏻

A thing that has changed my face and has help me to get rid of the hormonal acne is to do skincare fast which means to not put any skincare ( only wash your face with a gentle cleanser) and go sleep like that. It really helps because the skin needs to relax and do all its functions by itself because for example a cream is made to do the same function than the sebum. ❤Hope it helps. I'm a big fan of you. 😊

The only thing that got rid of my chin acne is Spironolactone 🙏🏻 I had tried every single derm treatment, antiobiotics, diets, supplements and skincare products. 3 months on Spiro and my skin looked normal for the first time since my teens (I’m 31) ❤️

This. Spiro was the only medication that works really well for my hormonal acne. Not to say there isn't any chin acne during my TOM, but very few as compared to before.

Hola Soo! Maybe you could ask your dermatologist about accutane. I think it could be the final solution for you, as it was for me. I'm on my 7th and last accutane month and I'm really happy. My acne was similar to yours. ✨💗

Your acne looks like mine and I had it for over 10 years, getting worse and worse everyday. It was nearly all dietary. I now avoid bread/grains and most importantly DAIRY. I also take a supplement from porefavor religiously (I’ve tired weeneing off of it, I can’t I start breaking out again), probiotics and sea moss. As well as a prescription of tret. This exact combo (trust me, years of trial and error and logging everything) keeps me nearly completely clear. If I slip up on one, I get a few spots. I’m sure you’ve heard everything from everyone but this is what cleared my dietary and hormonal acne.

As a U.K. healthcare worker in the nhs, the worst chin acne I’ve ever had in my life was when I was forced to wear surgical masks at work during the pandemic for 12 hour shifts. Even changing them often did nothing! Skin needs to breathe. Living in Korea I don’t get how more people don’t have spotty chins
