Editing on this one is awesome Larry!!! Stepping up your game now buddy! Video was great as always, thanks for sharing these amazing songs and your stories with them.
Songs of worship just heal my soul.
Larry... Not bragging, nor better than thou... I was wrongfully jailed for 2 months, definitely knowingly by the Police... it was cruel, dirty and evil... I had songs flash into my head from the past... actually an incredible experience.... Many deep cuts from albums... its been 4 years now and hard/ impossible to recall details... But i do remember what a trippy experience.... luckily i had a couple of cellies that knew lots of the songs.... Im talking Rainbow, April Wine, Brothers Johnson...AC, Judas Priest.. i would go thru and list the tracks of albums in order.... I did pretty well and accurately... i couldn't do it now!!! Thanks brother.... You're a great man... as am I !!!!
love to see you be an elton john fan. im his biggest superfan and only listen to his live concerts and bootlegs from all these eras mostly 90s concerts hes brilliant. love these videos larry

I've got a bachelor's degree in musicology, and I'm currently working on another in general music to hopefully make this my living. Sometimes I feel guilty for doing this instead of going for something society actually needs, like public transit drivers and teachers and the like, but stories like these and like my own remind me that what I do has a purpose. I'll be sure to come back to this video if I get a relevant assignment. Thanks Larry :) Edit because I'm writing as I watch: I actually got to play "That's Life" with one of my city's local big bands at a concert back in December. Wonderful song!

You don’t need a degree (and tons of debt) to be a musician. Just do it. Write songs, find band members and believe in yourself then try to find a record company. Society needs good music, it’s just as important as everything else. I wish you the best, my friend.

I love the song Kodachrome too. Was my favorite song on The Coneheads soundtrack.
I think you were in Atlanta with my uncle that passed Tommy Branch
Roy Orbinson had a one of a kind voice
One of my favorite activities was going to the music room and playing guitar with a band. I still remember playing Man in the Box in the prison yard. That song was a big hit in the IMU.

Hi Larry, would love to see you do a video with your thoughts on The Gardner Museum heist in Boston. Specifically, do you think it was an inside job with the guard?
Absolutely great list of songs, I've always been a big music lover, have started writing rap actually, what is your all time favorite song?
Respect with the music choices. As a young 23 year old. Feels hard to connect with people on music.
My cousin did 7 years in the pen , he said the song day by day from Doug and the slugs kept him going
I’m into country music hard rock music and rap music. Toby Keith is my all time favorite favorite country singer, he died from cancer over a month ago.

Elton John's "Daniel" breaks me. Lost my older brother to cancer when he was 15.
Larry? You like Juice WRLD?! Hell yeah 👍
Lawtown get live with the idaho escape we need your thoughts on it
Frank Sinatra’s voice became the greatest voice as he aged. It mellowed out and was perfect. They way he phrased the lyrics as though always telling a story. Beautiful.
I work at mc Donald’s in Canada. 🇨🇦. And I make prison food for the inmates that go to the cop station cells. They always got quarter pounders. 1 each for lunch n supper. Now they get a cheese burger for lunch. N a dbl cheese burger for supper. Tomorrow the first day of this new plan they have.
I’m disappointed in Larry for assuming us younger folks wouldn’t know Sinatra’s “That’s Life.” Sinatra was my late grandfather’s favorite, he also loved Dean Martin. Their music always brings back good memories, I miss the guy.

Hey Larry what do you think Sam Bankman-Frieds life in prison is going to be like
Larry I was 16 was sitting in the country jail during my trial process 19 months. While I was there it was one of the oldest jails, im sure by your age you know the good old roll up gates. The hack had his brass keys ,one to open the metal box to the brsss handle them unlock the next door to insert the handle in to turn the 10 gates at lock down. The hack would say roll it up at 10pm and start cracking the handle after he hit the release handle to crank the cell doors and once it clicked he'd go through the same process of pulling down the lock handle lock that door put the brass handle in the snap holder close that door and lock it be done. I noticed that they never used the old round speakers that were metal on the corner of each corner. What made me ask the one hack is why the hell do you guys yell back and forth and don't use the speakers. He said there worn out because back before you were even born it was the law inmates had the right to one hour of music. I said wow that must have been a hard thing, specially if someone didn't like what the old hacks played because from what he said was. It went down like this if the man were being cool bunks made by 6 and you wasn't caught laying down and shit was going good for everyone the hack (CO) I should have said CO from the get but it's just in my blood to call them hacks I'm sure you know. But the hack would say what radio station do you guys want to listen to since everyone was cool. I wrote the department of corrections in 80 about why hasn't the radio system been upgraded in over 25+ years and by NY State inmates were intitiled to a hour of music. Well that letter never made it to corrections I found out. Soon as the county sheriff was advised I wrote the address to the department and corrections it was opened and read and I was called out. Long story kinda short I lost my visits for a month and trusty job that I should have never had because I was still going through the higher courts and wasn't sentenced but in a little town I knew everyone and was trusted until that day. Ok month passed and I was moved back down to the trusty unit cool cause I could roam around and do my thing you know that I'm saying. So I wrote another letter but sent it home with a bunch of legal papers and stuff I didn't need and told my old man at the visit don't forget to sign out my bag and when you get home look at the paperwork and there's a letter with with everything that needs written on a envelope and mail to NY State department of corrections just do it. Larry within 8 days here comes a surprise State inspection for the inmates and I was the first one called out. They said we received your letter and how you had to get it to us and had me walk every tier only 4 and the 5th floor was for the women ok. They said turn on the speaker system for it also was a safety violation in case a inmate got into it while being escorted to court etc so the main switch board could hear if there was a incident. DOJ handed me the first am/fm walkman radio with headphones and 2 new battery's. Larry I thought for sure I was going back upstairs without the walkman and locked down. But no the jail was letting families drop off only walkmans and had to have headphones. After about 10 days the hacks were Fred thanks for doing that. You don't realize how much better it's been to come into work and not having to listen to everyone of the inmates shit since they are able to listen to their walkmans now plus they had a good gig selling batteries turned in the old ones in order to buy new ones. So for the long post but you hit a cord in me when you mentioned the music. Much love bro. Fred Upstate NY
This video hits, ever since I was 14 years old I have had a wide variety of artists that I listen to. I listen to music because it helps me escape from reality and it takes the pain away, and nowadays I can't stand waking up without listening to music. Having an abusive young life was hard but music saved me.

Mr. Lawton my late husband’s cousins owned many acres and I mean many acres along the St. John’s river in Jacksonville, Florida. On the property Chad and friends had built a party shack with electric. Well the guys forming Lynard Skynard not spelled right. Well the band would practice and write their songs there.
1 singer. Lusine Gevorkyan. Capable of pulling me out of any mental hole. For the soul and pleasure... Adriano Cilentano and Mireille Mathieu. Green Orange, and Madegma Dorzhieva. Muslim Magomayev, Khelavisa from the group "Melnitsa", Anna German... Bakhyt compote, Yuri Klinskikh "Gas Sector". Not the sector that Benjamin Nitanyahu is destroying. A lot of.

There are a lot of stories of ex-convicts who claim to have a change of heart but then become repeat offenders and this often leads to a lot of people thinking prisoner reform and reintegration into society doesn't work. On the contrary I think repeat offenders is why we need better prisoner reform and wiser methods of reintegration. As an ex-convict who (as far as I know) has NOT become a repeat offender in the last 17 years since your release what has kept you from becoming a repeat offender and what keeps you from becoming a repeat offender? What do you think can be done so that there are less repeat offenders and more ex convicts leading redemptive lives? Also what programs or services would you recommend to other ex-convicts to help them on their path to redemption? Finally what do you personally believe redemption is?
Larry you should speak with Joey Diaz on an interview, he's a funny & great guy, look into him. I think he was planning a jewelry robbery himself at one point lol.
The look on your dogs face when you sing is so funny. Larry, you got old man music taste. Theyre good songs. but straight down the light old white dude XD
larry u should listen to argentinian rock nacional artists from the 70s 80s and 90s like charly garcía, luis alberto spinetta and gustavo cerati. great songs and they used to sing them during and after oppression of the dictatorship. you could get disappeared for singing about the dictatorship. and i hope u get good argentinian food in florida like from la patagonia.

I do hope you're joking because you do realize if someone ever did that in this day and age, there would be a good bit of controversy, and someone would probably try to "cancel" them, not that I would blame them for doing so.😊 Funny thing is, I would bet $10 it would probably be a hip hop or rap singer, maybe a rock or hard rock singer. Kind of the typical kind of singer who would produce a crappy song like that.😢
