Such beautiful visuals. Mushrooms are the coolest things that grows on earth, honestly. All different types... They look like something alien. And they are healthy, resilient and, _like I said at first,_ beautiful. I love to fry up some mixed sorts of mushrooms in some olive oil together with chopped leek, a pinch of salt and black pepper and serve it with a pasta of your choice and a healthy dose of pesto. That's my go to meal when I'm lazy and need something quick. The mushrooms and leek take just a few minutes to fry, so it takes only as long as the pasta takes to cook. And it's *amazing* when you mix it all together in a bowl - I promise you. Try it out! That's my unsolicited lunch/dinner advice to anyone who's reading this.

@@camamama81 I don't disagree with you that *some* mushrooms _(like the ones in the video, though I'm not 100% sure all of them had psilocybin in them, but perhaps you know better?)_ definitely are for getting high and not for food, and they do it *very* well and I am so grateful that shrooms exist. I honestly don't know what I would have done without them. But for mushrooms that don't have any hallucinogenic properties, having them for lunch/dinner is a wonderful way to eat healthy and still feel full - but not so full that you almost feel gross. I love *all* kinds of mushrooms, even the poisonous ones. Though I love them from afar, and only as a marvel of nature :P

I have had two home kits. You add water, let it sit for a short while (5-10 minutes if memory serves), place it in a dark but not cold corner somewhere and wait. After perhaps 2 weeks (?) things start happening and little mushrooms come up. When that happens you mist it every day, I got a 2 euro plant spray for this. The mushroom is ready to be picked after it opens, but don't wait too long. Right after it opens is better than the morning or day after, so you gotta keep an eye on them when you see they are going. Cost about 40 euros for a medium one if I remember correctly, you will get several harvests from this. 2 big ones and a few smaller ones. Use responsibly, this is medicine, it is a tool. Tools are to be respected. Read up, ask around, have a sitter or a guide or a therapist if you can find a willing one. I believe it's best used on an empty stomach in the morning, but again: inform yourself, better slow and heavenly than rushed and hellish. Mindset is important, setting is important. Feel good, comfortable room. Once you get on this train you cannot get off for a few hours. *ps I always wondered how that works, you need to feel good? But isn't this stuff used to help people struggling with nightmarish depression, anxiety and suicidal thoughts, addiction, abuse trauma? I can't square those two things.

Its very easy. Boil cardboard or paper, strain that then mix it with manure coffee grounds or rice. Take a mushroom of your choice place it on a small sheet of aluminum wait for the spores to drop then place them into pure distilled water until you see white spots. Then put the water into the cardboard mixture wait for that to grow white vines then break it up and mix it. The last step is the put it in a zip lock wait for it to grow white vines again then cut a hole in the bag and keep it moist.

It would be so slow and risky if you just put a piece of mycelium directly into coco coir substrate. But if you put that piece into agar plate and clean it enough then put a selective clean piece of mycelium to nutrition rich growing medium like grains to expend it much enough. Put the whole colonized grains into coir substrate and it would work. ✌

I cannot say for certain what species they are. And yes, most fungi require light to produce their fruiting bodies. Without light, the fruiting bodies (mushrooms) may be malformed.

They do not “need” light at all and can be grown in complete darkness if you wish. Light is optional if you want them to grow in a neat fashion
