In this video we are talking about the multifunctional programmable timer. We have developed it and it is different from the other timers available in the market.
In this timer three relays are provided to connect different load to operate at different time events.
The programmable timer is a device which is used to switch ON and OFF any load like Light System or any other load after a predetermined time as per the set condition. The ON time delay and OFF time are independently capable of setting and it has become the most important feature of a programmable timer circuit.
There are many types of programmable timer are available in the market. some analog versions are also available, But we have designed a universal type programmable timer in which user can set ON time and OFF time as per his/her wish. Basically the programmable timer is a simple circuit in the series of a timer. This timer circuit is used to switch ON/OFF a device. The programmable timer works with the single input and in some other conditions, it may use a pair of signals. Based on the timer event the timer will exist in many processors. The digital timers are used in several types by LCD, LED and gives longer service.
Generally timer circuit built using IC555 or a versatile IC4060. But we have designed timer using microcontroller and RTC IC DS1307. It provides freedom of setting ON time and OFF time separately.
It has may applications in Industries, Factories, Garden, Form house, shops, temples and we can also used it in street light also. User just need to set ON time and OFF time for the Appliances, then it automatically switch ON the appliances whenever the current time matches with the set time, similarly it switches off the load when the current time matches with the OFF time.
