Its on purpose. Coz water hits differently if you drink 2 times 1 liter vs drinking a small cup a few times a day. If you drink too much at once - you will just pee it out in 30 min and be dehydrated for the rest of the day. Generally you need a bit more in the morning to flush the system, and after that you need to drink water when your body does stuff like digestion or exercise.

@alexforce9

@@JEEtard977 It depends on how dry your meal is. Water before meal just fills up your stomach and it needs time to move further so you have space for food, water after meal - can help digestion by making the food more soup like and the gastric juices and the food juices to mix well together. But again - water fills up the stomach so 500 ml after a 500 grams meals is not a good idea but 100/200 ml is probably fine.

And if the goal is good hydration then make sure you add salt!! I put a minimum of 1/4 tsp of Himalayan Salt or Celtic Sea Salt per 32 ounces. If I’m doing a massive cardio workout I’ll go for 1 tsp of salt (avoid table salt) in 32 ounces (1000ml) and I’ll drink all of that within 60 mins starting roughly 90mins before workout Most vital elements for human life 1) Air 2) Water 3) Sodium (Salt) 4) Potassium etc… If you care about your health start adding salt to your water (sprinkling on food doesn’t count, that’s extra) If you are like me and enjoy bullet keto coffee. Try some salt. I worked up to 1/4 tsp per 16ounces (Yeti) and it is the most delicious thing in my life after cutting out bad foods. I hate coffee and water that doesn’t have salt in it now
I have a one gallon water bottle that I drink every day. I work out a lot, and I am petite but having a full gallon bottle of purified water lets me know how much I need to drink to keep my body hydrated from all the workouts I do. I also don’t drink as much coffee, or drink any sweet flavored drinks either. The gallon bottle has helped me to get the hydration I need. My skin also isn’t dehydrated either now that I drink primarily water 💦
Andrew said "fluids" not water. Water alone does NOT hydrate cells.

So a 8oz glass every hour??? Oceans would turn to piss in 10 years….
With my hand on my heart from experience do not do this! I used to be a Personal trainer and I drunk water like this, is made me ill, you massively lose electrolytes and drown the body. Just listen to yourself, drink water when your thristy and cut out sugar and sugary drinks.
I work in a clean room and have to limit my water intake for 3 days a week and it really sucks. 12 hour shifts on maybe 12-16 ounces of water because otherwise I'll need to use the restroom and there's a whole procedure for that. It's hard not to get stuck in that pattern on my days off.
His answer was longer and more complicated than it had to be lol
The first glass of water is the most important for me. For some reason I can go a long time without water, unless I’ve already had a glass. Drinking water makes drinking more water easier.

If you have POTS or another form of dysautonomia, just go talk to your specialist about fluids rather than trying to figure it out on your own because what you need is going to be way different than the average human without your condition

I can eat a whole meal and I'm not thirsty 😩 😮....so crazy 🤪. So I make sure.... I drink about 1 and 1/2 bottle for the whole day 😮❤
What if you have issue of staying awake that long?
Ok If I would drink that much my body would flush out all electrolytes. Also, the quality of water (purity, contents of electrolytes) is also not addressed here. Humans need to drink water to replenish electrolytes, not to just pump in fluids.
But you have to be near the toilet for all that time i believe
Most people get plenty of water through the fluids (coffee, tea, milk, water, etc.) they drink and the food they eat. There's no need to sip on plain water all day long. I think a lot of people drink too much and that can be dangerous. If you're worried, just check the toilet bowl. If your urine is clear, you're drinking too much. If it's dark yellow, you're not drinking enough. Your urine should be light yellow, like lemonade.
Amen
Thx for metric system
Tbh it all depends. Are you drinking other stuff? Are you consuming vegetables with high water content?
This is not very good advice, although I love Andrew. Hydration has many variables, and hydration is in regard to minerals, not just water. Most people who are carrying around their water bottle and drinking three litres of water a day, have flushed out many minerals.
I'm 31 and I have drinking 3 glasses of water everyday and any some of them. Americans are obsessed with water.
I agree with almost everything you have ever said. This is the first I disagree with. Some humans with certain blood types retain water differently. We need to think in terms of dosage to blood type.

Your body will tell you how much water you need no more no less.
Eating fruit and vegetables is far more hydrating than just water.
I feel like I drink too much but I live in the desert as well. I drank 2.5 gallons yesterday but it was almost 100. I’m worried it’s overworking my kidneys.
Lol no chance... I've never drunk that much water and never will.
It is not that easy It depends on many things
Would it make sense to link hydration requirements to calories burned? For example, my husband and I both work out but he weighs twice as much as I do. Would he require twice as much fluid throughout the day as I do?
I was waiting for him to jus say how many cups
Can I drink it all at once to save time?
