    Hey man, thank you for all your information, you sold me on Princess 77 on my new home. It's barren dirt right now, but hopefully golf course grade next year!

    Awesome man! You'll have to put it down heavier than bag rate, but as long as you keep it watered, it will eventually take off. Princess 77 is great stuff.

    The lawn is doing well considering the heat. I just killed off my Bermuda lawn for the very same reason you mention. I had two unknown cultivars of Bermuda. One was darker green and was more resistant to drought and responded differently to fertilizers. My OCD couldn’t take it. So I blanket sprayed glycosphate, killed it all and put down TifTuf last week. You can try overseed if it all with Princess 77, but a complete takeover is unlikely.

    Every now and then I catch them looking at me when I'm filming. They probably think I'm nuts! :-) I don't mind though. Lawn care is a fun hobby.

    Brown spots are probably rock underground. I used my sprinkler this week. 10 minutes one day 15 the next, late in the evening. Not much different, it’s just hot..

    Hi. Does Princess 77 or Arden 15 grow slow enough? I don’t want to cut more than twice a week and I want to keep it at .5 inches. My lawn is super struggling. I am using zoysia In Florida right now.

  • @RonHenry

    @RonHenry

    It depends on the health of the soil. You can get away with cutting both twice per week. Remember the deal with Bermuda. The more often you cut it, the better it will look.

    Since it’s already splotchy because of the overseed you might as well do it again. Probably try using a slit seeder to get a more even coverage.

    @W Jack the questions is how much are you putting down? Is it a synthetic fertilizer or organic? i personally foliar feed organically with my push sprayer. So the plant will take what it needs to help build a stronger root system. Phosphorus plays a big role in root development. Synthetic fertilizer pushes the lawn to hard and will burn if your not careful. Nitrogen will not make your lawn magically resist the heat. A deep root system with plenty watering will. If you applied the right amount of fertilizer during the spring growing season there is no need to apply fertilizer during the heat of summer.
