You are correct.. I have been working in IT industry for 6 years. I work 5 to 6 hours a day on an average. I am stuck at moderate salary..my savings are not even 15 lacs. But my colleague who was poor but works 12 to 14 hours per day on average now built a big flat in Hyderabad with 1 crore without any debt.

Few jobs and more applications make competition fierce. No other country has such a competition. If you can afford to migrate, migrate to other countries. Average students can settle well outside and can earn decently, at least, by doing part time jobs.

With experience i can say one thing, Now a days, who ever having gap after education they need to prepare Group2 level for the IT interview. Later not much to worry about skills. All we need is subject. Communication and softskills are also important but after getting inside no one will follow strictly. Not all companies but mostly happening in the feild.
