This is super insightful - gotta take the pro's word for it vs the H method I've seen elsewhere. If the guy can work the tape like without a dispenser, I trust the dude! hahaha

Wow, this is great! If you really think about it, assuming the box's sides are much stronger than the tape. Then the job of the tape is only to things together. I wonder if the H-configure is unnecessary. I'll try this method even though I have only two 50lbs boxes to worry about.

Been trying to teach this to my employees for years. They love taping the edges of the flaps. Like they are worried deadly spiders might sneak in or something. Ugh.

I think the box ripped...the heavy object inside hit his foot...he then fell down from the stairs....that's why he hasn't replied.

I work at the post office and this is bull shit.. Amazon boxes always use one strand of tape.. and I can tell you 70% of those boxes are fucked up.. Amazon needs to stop being cheap.. the post office is getting blamed for them being cheap ass fuck..

also doing it sideways actually does help if the tape gets cut for some reason, ait prevents everything from falling off the box so i disagree

My boxes are so huge and heavy i cant even lift them up. No way this would hold. And, who moves by using such small boxes? Must be a single guy lol

It’s better to pack heavy items into smaller boxes so that you’re not struggling to carry them, and lighter items in bigger boxes so that you can transport more in one go. Packing a huge and heavy box will take more out of you. This from someone who moved out of a third story apartment with no elevator. And we didn’t even have a lot of stuff! Lol

You gotta think a little bit before you pack. Why would you use such huge boxes and load them up so much so no one can move them?? Smaller boxes and more manageable. Not very smart.
