    Good stuff mate I like the new intro and the name too. Dyno days are a bit of fun it’s never looks as exiting as some massive cranky v8 but the straight sixes put down some nice smooth torque! I bet it’s nice to drive now, keep up the good work!!👌🏻

    Great Intro Dan, I was looking at doing the LS swap on my GU, but given the drivable power you get from the TB42, I think the Turbo & Haltech system looks like the go. I have a TB45, would you or Independent Motor Sport consider making a kit for a GU (or GQ)? or would I have to piece it together similar to what you did (Less the intake)? I've been tagging along your journey since the start & this vid is definitely the best yet. (You in front of the camera & the editing) Keep up the good work. Cheers from the Northern Rivers NSW.

    Thanks mate, you might be able to give them a call and see what they say. Or if you want the same set up as mine just chase some bits up, nothing to hard to find. Keep in mind the 45 have small rods and you can’t push them as hard. A lot of people put 42 rods in them. Thanks for watching, cheers

Could have waited literally 30 seconds from where I stopped the video to go to bed 😂 Just one of those things where I wish everyone used the same measuring technique. If there was no tyre slip or deformation at all then you can easily calculate what it would be, but of course that’s not the case.

    @@seanman6691 🤣🤣 all good mate, legit wasn’t sure if you were stirring haha! At the end of the day in a car like this peak numbers aren’t the priority, as long as the curves look good and have a driveable range that’s all that matters, regardless of wheels or hubs. Cheers

    Obviously you've boosted the TB42 and got great results, but why would dudes be putting in Barra Turbos instead? Is it because the Ford engine is easier (everything is already on it) even though the mod and getting it engineered is more expensive (I'm assuming it is more expensive)? Does the Barra T have higher potential as it was built as a turbo engine? Or is the weaker TB45 and potential trouble from GU diesels the reason why dudes go the Barra T? Or something else? Thank you for your time 👍🏻

  • @DanielKistler

    @DanielKistler

    Жыл бұрын

    Don’t really have a straight answer for that one haha, I think it’s just not enough knowledge about the turbo tb. That’s changing now though. To do a turbo Barra conversion you’d easily, spend double than what it would cost to turbo the tb. Barra will definitely make way more outright power, it’s a far more modern design, but tend to be a bit more lazy when chasing big numbers because of the need for the bigger turbo. The small rods in the 45 and lack of power/reliability from a td would be a big factor in why people do conversions I’d say. If the Barra exhaust was on the passenger side id probably have one in my race car Atleast, maybe even the wagon. But I do like just having a stock motor in there with no major changes. Cheers mate
