Eyyy price change is very tricky..I increased my prices and lost 4 of my regular students. So sad but I was working long hours getting little money. But now things are picking up. New students are buying my package but it was a bit slow in January... And thank you so much for another informative video and I remember struggling to link my PayPal and FNB account and you were so kind and shared some information and tips with me and finally got it right😜😜🥰🥰🥰

They don’t specify, the only thing that’s super important is the internet speed which they say ok the website. But even your laptops camera is good quality or even okay quality you are good to go.

Excuse my ignorance, but you mentioned that you don't need any qualifications to become a community tutor - does this mean that a TEFL certificate isn't required as well? I've been struggling to save up money to get one and I've heard that you need to have one to become a teacher.

I registered with SARS the tax for freelance is different from the one of people who earn monthly. If you make 14k a month then you pay around R1300 or so… if you choose to withdraw monthly

Look at other tutors in Preply to see what their prices are and how their profile is set up… try and do similar things to them and also maybe your name should have the world ENGLISH WITH…. Then your name afterwards. It makes it more searchable

I think maybe you might need to work on your listening skills a little bit. There is a big difference between Rands (ZAR South African Currency) and Dollars (United States of America Currency)

I would choose the one I’m comfortable with. I had Skype on my phone which was inconsistent. So if you know how to use zoom on Your laptop choose that and then you can also use google meet but let the student low in advance
