Love this video, would have been interested to see a break-down of your most profitable or most purchased stock videos? I believe I watched one a while back, that Mango Street did, all about their most successful stock photography uploads. And I've been thinking about starting some stock accounts, but most of my time is spent shooting and editing for my employer (a local art college) and I can't use any of that footage... so I'd have to shoot fresh footage most likely... would be cool to know what types of video have worked well for you.

I also do stock footage on Blackbox. Around 2000 clips so far ... made around $10,000 over the last 2 years. Not something to live on ... but it certainly helps. Especially when I am not actually doing anything and it is passive income.

My only tree so far is a crypto investment paying about $1500 or so a month, which is pretty decent. I have a question for you though: How much content have you uploaded in terms of stock footage to earn this money?
I’m confident the current market has an equal possibility of making high-value gains or losses, so I'm cautious with my selections; but, I heard that a trader made over $250k in this recession influenced market, and I could really need ideas on how to achieve similar profits

I would love to see you do a video going more in depth on stock footage. Hearing how much you made was nice but I would love to hear how many clips you uploaded, see some more examples of those clips, and any other tips you have on the subject. Did you upload to one location or do you upload clips to multiple stock sites? Does it cost money to create an account and upload? These are just some of the questions that came to mind watching this. Best of luck with 2022 Matti.

Thanks for sharing Matti! I have made a point to add most b roll I shoot to Blackbox this year during down time. I have only made about $300 in the past 2 years combined. I have uploaded about 200 clips and most of them that get declined are lack of release or recognizable brand logos/names in a shot. I shoot a lot of fitness content so lots of workout scenes.
I think you just started something in me to think out of the box. Thank you for this tip

Thanks for the tip, ill look into it... my Drone & footage probably won't be extra enough to make any money, but hey, doesn't hurt to try right 😁
Artgrid has been my favorite for quite a while. A lot of my music videos have mostly Artgrid footage. I'm glad to hear you're going to have footage there. Film Supply is way too expensive and only a "single clip" site. Not sure how they'll stay in business with $200 clips for web use that aren't even 10 seconds long.

How much do you earn per month
Thats great....but how much stock footage/pics have you uploaded to achieve this amount of money??
Awsome! how many videos do you have on the platform?
A few really important questions: How many clips did you upload? Was it only through one site? Or did you do it through multiple sites? Would you recommend uploading to multiple sites? Or are their licensing terms on certain stock sites that prevent you from doing that?
Today I just sold my first stock image! And after that Matti posted this video. Hehehehe Next is video footage
technically you did a whole lot when you created those footage. Not to mention the investments in time and equipment. On the long-run yeah it will be worthwhile.
Hey Matti, how many clips have you uploaded in total for all your stock?
Which kind of stock footage did you shoot? Don't you really have to "create" for selling it on stockfootage sites? With that I mean, film the same thing from different angles, make different scenes with the same people (so that anyone could build up his own story with this people) and so on? And isn't that very time-consuming as well? I almost have no footage that I created for my own, that would satisfy these conditions. Thank you for your answer!
Wow this is insane
what would be good sites for stock drone footage?
where do u usually sell your footage?
Uploading a library from 1tb hard drive cam take a full work day or more to tag it, name it, upload it, cut it, hate it and repeat:) But it's better than working hard as delivery guy:)
Matti: How many stock footage units do you have uploaded on that account, that is earning ~10k /month? Just wondering of the proportion of content versus income? Even though I know that quality is a factor too. Thanks if you reply.
I need to start working on this
Your monthly income from video footage you mentioned was from new video you created every month or just your old ones? Thank you
How many videos of yours are out there though?
