I guessed $40/night for the hotel, $23 is a great deal. I liked the 2nd apartment, mostly because it seemed like a quiet neighborhood.

Online searching, facebook group, walking in the neighbourhood we like and look for banner ' Apartment rent '. It's a lot work but I am happy I can get a nice apartment that suit me.

Great street and trees with #2. Also looked nicer inside.

Dan's luggage is Travelpro hard case, carry on is Osprey. My luggage & carry on is whatever the cheaper luggage in the store. Once is broken, i will buy a new one because is not easy to find luggage repair while you slow travel. =)

It is not. You need a google translate App in your phone to communication sometimes for better understanding. But, in the wet market, they will show you the actual money you need to pay for your vege/meat/fruit.

It request a lot a lot of work to find a good apartment, sometimes is by luck too. We search online, Facebook group, and walking on the ground on our favorite neighborhood and look for apartment for rent banner, walk in and negotiate with the owner.

We have already departed Vietnam, and this is the service price we have been utilizing.90 mins massage is about US $12/300k VND. Manicure/Pedicure is about $6-$10. Barber/Haircut is about $1.26. Facial treatment $32.

90 days.

After 15 years in Vietnam I am happier now in Thailand. I liked DaNang the best then Vung Tau but it’s kinda boring there. Saigon 2nd but very busy. Hoian is run by mafia so it was ok for 6 months. Now it’s beautiful Pattaya for me better value for your money and the people here are nicer. I am happy for you 2. Good luck if ever back in pattaya like to meet for a coffee. Cheers.

Dan, when u go apartment renting for 1 month or 2 month stay, do u hv to draw up a contract? How do u know the agent is not a scam and real owner may show up and chase you away after you paid?? Also, do you pay upfront the full month's rent or at end of month? Your advise pl. TQ

How come the prices are so high? I just checked some airbnb for 1 month and I found way better looking apartments for 170 - 200€, around 5-10 minute walk to the beach. This is Da Nang, right? Prices are almost like in Thailand :,)

That’s weird. Would you mind to share few unit airbnb link that you found? Because what I see in the airbnb is just room with private toilet. Airbnb that I found for fully furnished apartment is way more expensive.
